spent 1 night here when we visited Andong. The guesthouse is not located in the Hahoe Village but the host was kind enough to pick us up from the railway station. If fact she even made a detour to the bus terminal so that we can pick up our luggage. This made it very convenient for us. the host's daughter...

I just left this morning and had a great stay at this guesthouse. Somehow I didn't know that it was the #1 ranked on tripadvisor until I logged on to write this review but it's not surprising. We rented the separate Korean style house as we had 4 people in our group. The only downside was that sleeping on the...

Highly recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to experience traditional Korean life. We paid 50'000 won per night, which included a nice Korean breakfast, great hot shower, wifi, comfortable warm bed. The hospitably we received from the lady who owned the house was amazing, she welcomed us into her home. The place is about a 30 min bus ride...

I stayed at Bongjeongsagil 200 Guest House for 2 nights with my parents. The place was clean and tastefully decorated with Korean traditional items and the gracious host lady of the place offered us valuable tea (first tea of this year which was top notch I have ever tasted in my life!)and delicous breakfast. The location is a bit remote...

We enjoyed our one night stay at this lovely guesthouse and were made welcome by the owner and her daughter. This experience gave us an insight into Korean family life. The bedroom was comfortable and the bed a little hard for our liking. The adjacent bathroom is spotless. After we arrived we had a lovely cup of tea and the...

Immediately upon our arrival, it was easy to understand why this guesthouse is rated #1 in Andong. We have stayed in five different, highly rated locations in Andong because my wife and I travel here often to take professional photos of the UNESCO sites and the many old Korean style scholar homes. This guesthouse surpassed all the others because of...

The guesthouse is pretty far from civilization - the only thing within walking distance is the temple nearby. There are a few restaurants near the temple entrance as well. You are surrounded by peace and quiet. Being residents of Seoul, I think it was the first time in a long time that we actually experienced a dark night unspoiled by...

Wonderful stay that gave us much fond memories of our trip to Andong. We booked the guesthouse after getting the owner on the phone a day before. Got there from the bus terminal by taxi which cost us abt 18000w. This traditional and charming home is owned by a warm elderly couple who will serve you a sumptuous Korean breakfast...

I can only but try to put across how fabulous our stay was in this wonderful guesthouse. Way beyond our expectations. What a lovely sweet lady who runs this place with love, care and attention to detail that’s second to none. After showing us to our resting place, she invited us for tea whenever we were ready. She is a...

Staying at Bongjeongsagil 200 was more like being with family than just a guesthouse. The owners welcomed us into their home, fed us interesting foods and even more interesting teas. The owners speak no English, so you really need a grasp of Korean to stay here comfortably. The lady owner is a tea master, with all manner of different teas...

“Bedrooms in the main home have upscale bed and rosewood closets. Beautifully rendered. The separate Korean-style bungalow is Korean style where you sleep on padding right on the heated floor. If you have a bad back, go for one of the bedrooms which have a large Western style mattress and wood headboard.”
KWYSWilley, 6 Sep 2013 | Read review
“There are two rooms for couples, one with a bed and one without. If you don't like sleeping on the floor you'll have to specify.”

“they tend to turn the heater way too high and you do not have access to the heating controls in your room so remember to tell the owners if you feel your room is too warm before they turn in for the night!”

“Ask for the room outside of the main house.”

“The first picture below is the soil house that we were able to sleep in. I think they charge more money if you stay here but fortunately, we went there right after a busy season so she gave us this room. Other rooms were in the building where the owner's family stayed.”
  • Soil house! And they burned the woods to make the room warmer. (no boiler)
