Clean, huge room with two beds. A great deal at $42/night. This is located in a building that is shared with an entertainment complex, as well as restaurants, so it can get a bit rowdy if you share an elevator with drunken men. I was told by locals we picked a good location. You have a choice of either western...

Location : centrally located, less than 5 minutes of taxi from central bus station. Walk from central station is within 15 mins. This hotel surrounds with lots of restaurants and a shopping mall which has crowds of shoppers. Room : Tidy rooms but the bed is hard. If the mattress would be changed to a softer ones, I would rate...

The hotel is somewhat hidden off a side street but convenient in terms of shopping, dining and exploring the street scenes. Good department store with fresh food in the basement. It is about three blocks away from a Bank of China but cashing America Dollars for RMB is a hassle. Expect at least 30 minutes. I found the hotel to...

I stayed at the Wilson Hotel for 5 nights while visiting my Dad's ancestral village in Kaiping county. The Hotel is part of a shopping center anchored by a very modern Vanguard Supermarket (comparable to a Target store in the US) which I didn't expect there. (I hadn't visited in 13 years.) The Vanguard store and a KFC front on...

If you are traveling into Kaiping and are used to western hotel, Wilson is your best bet for the price, relatively cheap, we paid 220 rmb a night and comes with breakfast.. which is the only complaint, it is the same thing everyday and is mostly noodles and congee( Chinese rice porridge), would suggest you pass on it as there...

Located right in the middle of downtown Kaiping. My friend got me a company rate of 200 RMB a night including a breakfast buffet. The buffet is the only negative I've experienced so far. They have the same food items everyday. Eventually, you'll be craving for something new. Being a hotel buffet, expect the food to be bland especially after...

Wilson Hotel is in downtown Kaiping. I would rate it 2 stars because the lobby staff speak little English; the front counter does not exchange currency. The breakfast buffet consisted mainly of Chinese items such as corn on the cob and sweet potato. The rate is very economical, so this would be a good place for travelers on a tour...

“Beds in china are ridiculously stiff! If you require some softness, just ask the front desk for an extra bed spread to put under your bed sheets. All the rooms are basic, the amenities are simple and TV's have two North American stations.”
