Loved the room which in fact was a suite. Beautiful linens, fluffy bed. Gorgeous bath. Tea upon arrival, and popcorn for kicking back with a movie for late night. Fabulous breakfast, overlooking the countryside.
We loved our stay - every detail was well thought out from the robe sizes to the freshly baked cookies. The room and facilities are stunning and well appointed, and it was one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. We will go back for sure!
We had the most incredible relaxing weekend at the mad maple thanks to the exceptional hospitality, culinary skills, and warmth of Miriam and Neil. They really think of everything so you don't have to :) Everything I could ever imagine wanting (and more) was there. The rooms are so homey and the cleanest I've ever stayed in (I am a clean-freak). When we walked in, Miriam offered us drinks and made an awesome cappuccino served along side the most delicious freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. It just feels like coming home. Fresh clementines awaited us in our adorable room. The bathroom is an escape on its own with heated floors and all new, renovated fixtures and organic luxurious bath products and the softest Egyptian cotton towels. The next morning, it was time for breakfast and we were blown away. That breakfast will forever be my happy place. Fresh eggs (courtesy of the chickens outside), outrageously amazing bacon, freshly baked English muffins, super delicious apple pancakes, home-made apple cider, chopped salad, and I will never forget about those caramel apple rogalech, and poached pear yogurt parfait. BEST BREAKFAST OF LIFE. We ate way more than we should have due to excitement but only feared missing out on all the deliciousness. Needless to say, we have been busy telling everyone we know about this place and definitely plan to come back. One night at the mad maple was so restorative, and even more recharging than a visit to a spa. Words do not do it justice. Thank you Miriam & Neil!…
You want to come here. The hosts, Miriam and Neil are the most talented and humble people you will ever meet. The Inn is a renovated old country store. Modern, yet you still feel like you've stepped back in time. They've managed to keep it beautifully functional with updated fixtures while maintaining its Canadian country charm. The food is to die for! The breakfast is unrivaled! All Farm to Table. Miriam and Neil have relationships with local farmers and country chefs and eating there is a foodie wonderland! I've stayed twice and have had Miriam's dinners too! I've eaten in many upscale restaurants but honestly, her food is the freshest and tastiest I've ever had. She's a food stylist so the presentation on her mismatched antique dishes is total eye candy! There are many adventures to be had nearby: skiing, hiking, browsing country shops, farm tours, cideries, Collingwood and Creemore...go, you will leave with a very lasting impression.…
Exceptional Accommodations! Incredible food! Serene country setting. What more could you ask for ! Loved eating breakfast while overlooking the chickens outside. The suite on the upper floor was just gorgeous. Loved the heated marble floors in the washroom. Tastefully decorated. Chef & Owner Miriam Streiman was such a gracious host giving us plenty of local site-seeing ideas and pre-arranged dinner at Haisai for us (Must see). Amazing experience. Well done!
