We called in for lunch and were immediately grunted at by the landlord when we asked if they were serving food. The food is ok without being great and fortunately the waitress ( who I understand is his daughter) was fabulous and she saved the visit from being a disaster. I cannot believe how brusque this man was and it...

We have just spent a fab Bank holiday weekend at the Beach Hotel, Sandsend, Whitby. Clean room with a sea view to die for. Plenty of tea/coffee/shampoo etc. Great breakfast, setting us up for the day. Interesting and entertaining landlord and daughter. We will definitely be back!!

After staying in cottage lets many times in Sandsend, i had never even ventured into The Beach Hotel for even a drink, so thought i would rectify that with a little break here. I was not disappointed at all. Very welcoming and Lauren was superb fro start to finish, so much so the next break is booked! Huge breakfast and...

I called in today for lunch after an absence of 25 years and was beyond delighted to find the same man behind the bar! A great guy, totally passionate both about Sandsend and his business and more than happy to chat about both. The interior has recently undergone complete refurbishment under the watchful eye of his daughter, who has joined...

The breakfast the next day was a monster, but lovely. And our dog Ralph, had his own sausage for breakfast on both days, they are...

The s dog friendly hotel is in an enviable position, overlooking the spectacular beach. Graham and his wife gave us a warm welcome. The rooms have great views of the beach and there was plenty of room in room 4 for our Doddle Daisy, she also enjoyed her daily breakfast sausage! The breakfast was huge and beautifully cooked and set...

I had a great experience at the beach hotel! I picked it based off its location - the beach is right across the street, and every room has a seaview. It is also easy to access via public transportation, and it is very easy to get to some of the other areas (Whitby, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, etc). The owners were super friendly...
