We only stayed here for two nights and had the place practically to ourselves. The coral was surprisingly good and the drop off is a short swim out from the resort. There were more hard corals than at Apo island but the fish life is smaller. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We thought the room we stayed in was...

I have been dived and stayed over 30+ different countries and from fancy 5stars resort to lousy bugdet homes. I traveled almost every central visayan dive spots in Philippines. This one was quite unique and authentic compare to other places where I have visited. A real nature world by their own choice and hard reality which the island itself is...

Pros: - Great diving Cons: - NO sharks - Terrible attitude to guests - Racist comments from diving instructors - Were told that certain food items were only for "special friends" - Electricity cut off at midnight (NO AIRCON = BOILING HOT) - Swarms of mosquitoes - Unwelcoming

We spent seven nights on this lovely island. The transfers and arrangements with La Estrella went without a hitch. Our A Frame style room was large and clean with cold water shower. The power to the room is on during the night starting at around 6pm and going off at about 4am. The room is hot without the fan going...

We went and stayed at la Estrella for a week over New Year's this year. My wife, daughter (6 months at the time) and father in law. Bottom line - a real comfy and warm place. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but ok as we hung around outside for most...

A friend was working as a dive instructor at this resort and as I was trying to find a new place to dive in March I thought I would try here. I do not like very busy touristy places, and this place fitted the bill - slightly off the beaten track, but still with a little luxury. The accommodation was...

La Estrella has a wonderful sunset overlooking Cebu. Not a real beach. We stayed a week, to dive the fantastic walls around the island Cabilao. Our cabin was basic, clean and with fan and a mosquito net. Ask for the beach view, its not on the beach, but in the garden. Lots of mosquito's, at dusk. Staff is friendly, efficient,...

We spent 5 nights here, it is on a lovely little island where we were made to feel really welcome both by the staff and the residents of the island. It is a small island with no town, so don't expect bars and clubs. We tried scuba diving for the first time which was so much fun we did it...
