Many thanks to Billy and the hardworking staff for making our short stay so memorable. Nothing was too much with every request granted with a personal touch and attention to detail. Huge effort to make us feel safe during 'Pandemic new normal'. Lots of safety measures like sanitising stations, PPE, social distancing and enhanced cleaning. The out door eating area on the lawn was super in the fine weather and a very clever 2m circle cut into the grass around each table.

The decor is so tasteful with a nod to the buildings historical past. The rooms are beautifully restored with so much consideration and customer focus. Spotlessly clean and really well catered. We never had to ask for anything.

Food was varied and simple with allot of attention to detail all cooked to the customers preference. Even my daughters unusual request for a poppadom with her pizza was delivered without raising an eyebrow.

Billy's personal touch is evident in every corner of the hotel. The strong family friendly ethos influenced by the his own strong family links with photos and paintings of past generations tastefully scattered throughout the building. He was a constant presence continuously checking in with both his customers and staff.

Beautiful surroundings and amazing service. This stay will live long in our memories. Can't recommend Courtmacsherry Hotel enough.

A staycation which we decided to select West Cork and picking the Courtmacksherry was the correct one. Absolutely stunning setting even though Irish weather let us down, we did get a number of coastal walks in beside the hotel. The room with a view was obviously recently stylishly refurbished to the highest standards and the hotel throughout was looking very fresh. Even though I miss my buffet , breakfast was freshly cooked and served by one of the most pleasant and able young girls in the business, hotel manager in the making. She definitely could bring her influences to the garden table staff as we availed of the tasty evening meal on a few occasions. Overall extremely good and highly recommend for a get away, maybe being luckier with the weather would be the icing on the cake.

I absolutely loved everything about my recent stay in this hotel. From the friendly welcome to the comfortable room, I would have loved to stay longer. We were booked into a double seaview room but were very kindly upgraded to an executive double. Beautiful room with a 4 poster bed, mini fridge, nespresso machine, smart tv and wonderful views of the bay. Breakfast was really tasty in fact one of the best I've had. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much bother to them. Caroline in particular looked after us so well at lunchtime in the bar. Great Covid awareness with sanitisers on every table and staff all wearing masks. They manage to do it all 100% right while maintaining a very relaxed atmosphere. Great hotel which I would highly recommend.

We had a family gathering for 17 people here on 19th Feb 2022. It is a small family run 10 bedroomed hotel with spectacular sea views. It has a Country house feels to it with a log fire burning in the Bar at all times. The rooms are just at the top of the stairs, so no endless corridoors here! We occupied 9 of the 10 rooms and they nearly all have a sea view. The superior rooms are definitely worth taking for the fabulous sea views and multiple windows, and cost very little extra.
Food is very good too!
The Staff here are amazing! All are super friendly, super efficient, professional and could not do enough for us, creating a very special and memorable atmosphere.

Spent an amazing 5 days at a spacious cottage with the most stunning view. Comfortably slept 6 with alot of extra baggage which was needed with a mixed weather forecast. The location was perfect for walks, swimming, with plenty of options for local amenity of boating, surfing, sailing and of course some fine eateries in the village.

A strong sense of local community, the village is very clean and although buzy, we felt safe as social distancing seemed to be managed well.

Good base for visiting other beaches, bigger towns and cycling routes.

We have just returned for a 2 night stay in the Courtmacsherry Hotel Cottages, along with our 2 dogs. What can I say, it was a fantastic experience. The cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable, with lovely views of the bay from the sitting room and balcony. The staff in the hotel were so welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they had no issue with our two dogs, joining us in the bar, which is such a cozy and relaxing place. We ate in the hotel on our first night, and the food was so good, we returned for lunch and dinner the following day, which says it all really. Courtmacsherry Hotel and Cottages are the perfect place for a relaxing break, and we can't wait to return.

We arrived in Courtmacsherry on a beautiful summer's day. The front lawn was full of socially distanced groups enjoying the beautiful weather and delicious food. The location of this hotel could not be better, right on the seafront. Our room, number six, was beautifully obviously newly
decorated with three large windows overlooking the sea.
All the staff we met were excellent. A special words of thanks to Kenneth.
Highly recommend a stay

Myself and my sister's stay here last weekend, plus our families. 3 in the hotel, 1 in the cottages. We were greeted by a very friendly and informative staff member in reception on arrival, Canic. The rooms were beautifully styled and very clean. The food in the restaurant very tasty and the service was second to none! Shane in the bar looked after us so well. All COVID precautions were observed, gentle reminders given to guests discreetly by staff. This whole experience was made very special, we were there in memory of my Dad who's passing happened during lock down and who's from Bandon. We will return again soon planning something already! Stay here and listen to the sea lapping from your window while eating and drinking from a tasty menu. Thanks to all the staff.

This is one of the few places that I would return to over and over again. While the number of rooms in the main building is small, they are super quiet. Great food in the evening [reasonably priced] and great breakfast.

Location is the key for this hotel - it is in a magical setting but it is the staff that really shine. The serving staff are very helpful and efficient - and of course the Manager deserves a special mention - he is superb. If I owned a hotel, i would poach him to run it

We had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at the Courtmacsherry Hotel today. I had the beer battered fish and chips which was light and tasty. My husband had the burger which, to his delight, was served with some pepper sauce. Good children’s menu and with a fussy eater in our midst, we were relieved to see “plain penne pasta” on the menu! Beautiful setting out the front of the hotel and the staff were attentive and friendly. Unfortunately due to time constraints we couldn’t stay for desert but the cheesecake of the day sounded delicious. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Could you describe the cottages and the rates in June of 2020
Answer from Gretry

I don't know is the short answer but the staff will certainly loan you one. The Euro is the official currency here but US dollars can be used but you would be better off changing your currency to Euros before travelling or as soon as you get to Ireland but DO shop around for the best rate. Enjoy Courtmacsherry.....
