The Mount is a family owned 12th century inn in the heart of Wales. We have nine en-suite rooms including family, quad, triple, double and twin rooms and one with disabled access and bathroom. All rooms include a home cooked breakfast. We also serve freshly made food at lunch and dinner time every day using quality local ingredients to make scrumptious dishes. Real ales, wines, ciders and lagers are available from the bar as well as a range of other drinks to suit all tastes. We also serve freshly ground Illy coffee and 28 different flavours of tea! You can also dine alfresco on our patio, the only place in town to enjoy dinner or a drink that gets all day sunshine in the spring and summer months. Built around 1280AD on the site of a Motte and Bailey castle, The Mount Inn stands in a prominent position at the head of the main road through Llanidloes facing the centuries old market hall. In the heart of the inn the snug area includes a tiled floor originating from the castle as well as 600 year old settles forming a secluded area to meet up with friends to eat and drink. There is also a family and games room with a pool table and large screen TV showing select sports including rugby, football and F1. Families can dine here and keep an eye on busy children who can help themselves to the toy box or board games provided. Around Llanidloes there are some excellent walking destinations with a firm favourite being to find the source of the Severn through the Hafren forest. There are golf courses and clay pigeon shooting ranges close by and for bikers there is the chance to partake in Geraint Jones Yamaha offroading experience. There are also some excellent cycling routes in and around the area to enjoy. Dog walkers are more than welcome at The Mount. If you're looking for a friendly, warm and comfortable place to stay then look no further than The Mount Inn.

My mother and I stayed here for one night only. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, both at check in and check out. The room was comfy with three beds, a TV, a good bathroom that came equipped with a strong shower. We did not eat our evening meal here but the breakfast

The Mount Inn is good accommodation. Although a little tired and in need of some work, it was more than adequate for three adults. Our room would certainly suit a small family - mum, dad, two kids - who are travelling on a budget. The best part of this venue is the delicious

Hi, yes we are still operating. We currently don't open for lunchtimes as it's the quieter period of the year. We are open in the evenings however so feel free to drop by this evening for something to drink and eat. We look forward to receiving you. We don't do food on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings currently.

Hi Jackie normal check in is usually 5.30pm or after but we're happy to check you in early should you require it. If you phone 01686 412247 and talk to James he can arrange your early check in. Thanks and sorry for the late reply. All the best, Paul
