The village of Lower Slaughter is delightful and the hotel nestles comfortably within it. The hotel and grounds are quintessentially an English Country hotel. The rooms were comfortable and charming as were the grounds and public areas. The food was good but as we stayed more than one night we would have liked an a la carte menu to choose... More

I had an afternoon high tea here around 5 years ago and there was three of us and when happened across this place as many of the others were full. Right from the start, this place felt wonderful. The quality of service and food was impeccable, Yesterday I went there again with my sister and her husband visiting from New... More

My wife and I stayed recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booked through booking.com, which is always straightforward. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds the hotel is in a picture perfect village. On arrival front of house staff were very friendly and we were quickly shown to our room, the Porter was very friendly and helpful with luggage. The... More

Whilst the hotel itself was nice, the room we had in the coach house just simply wasn't worth the money. Specifically, the room had no atmosphere, was just by the front door and underneath the staircase making it a noisy stay. Very underwhelmed and wouldn't return. Only plus point was the snooker room.

I am so sorry you did not feel that your stay was value for money. Stow is one of classic rooms, which are the smallest in the hotel, these rooms are priced accordingly, and in line with other entry level room's in similar styled accommodation in our area Best Regards Stuart More

We stayed for two nights in the Magnolia room which was spacious and well equipped. We are fans of this hotel having had afternoon tea on the front lawn twice in the past. The setting is picturesque and quiet next to a lovely church. It really is perfection. The staff were very warm and friendly. We especially enjoyed the cupcakes... More

Hotel was beautiful and room was spacious and clean, but food was not very good, disappointing really and a tad pretentious. Being served squash disguised as juice for breakfast was also very disappointing.
