This is am honest review of my stay in room number 27, the staff were nice and friendly, thats the good bit. The room smells, really bad of damp, clearly there has been water going from the shower/toilet room to the bedroom at some point, this is evident by the strong smell of damp and the fact the floor is broken where it has been saturated with water and dips down badly between the two rooms, The carpet sticks up between the two rooms at the join because of the broken floor. I Tripped up on that a couple of times The toilet, well I've seen cleaner ones in public loos, that seriously needs a good clean, I'm surprised premier Inn actually put people in this room if I'm honest,
It's been 3 years since my last visit and in these COVID times, Premier Inn have made all the necessary changes to keep its staff and guests safe. We were on the 1st floor and as before, had a good night's sleep – even with the window open, we could barely hear the traffic on the busy A14. The room was spotless, as PI rooms alway are, and a one-way system was in place at reception. The restaurant wasn't open, though a very restricted menu could be ordered and eaten in the bedroom – not something we fancied, so we made a 15-minute drive to 'The Veggy Red Lion'. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well done to all concerned
Had a lovely cooked breakfast. Poached eggs were perfect - and I’m fussy about my eggs. 😊 service was very efficient and the staff were very friendly -especially Nick, Sam and Leo who even found time to sing happy birthday to me 😊 would definitely recommend this place for breakfast. Felt very relaxed as all the safety measures were in place and the staff handled changes to normal service very well despite some customers moaning about trivial restrictions.
Everyone knows what to expect at a Premier Inn ... convenient locations and a generic standard of accommodation... which can’t be faulted. The staff at this location provide excellent customer service and so clearly demonstrated the brand’s ethos of putting the customer first. A great breakfast too!
Stayed the night after visiting family. Older look hotel but excellent Covid precautions and superb staff. Arrived and very well signposted one way system and also plenty of sanitiser stations located around the hotel. Had breakfast in restaurant and very well organised as you need to book a time slot and everything is served to you. Felt very safe and very well looked after great job by the staff.
