This has by far been one of the better places I/we have stayed the past 18 years. We usually travel to Greece, so this was the first time in Italy, but still I rank it this high. I stayed alone with my boys aged 10 and 11, for 15 days in July. From long before we arrived, until the stay was over Miss Giulia and her husband Marcelo has been amazing. They helped us more than you can or should be able to expect from hosts of hotels/B&Bs. They even fetched us pizza when the pizza delivery car had been stolen, on the rainy day we were there. Any requests or wish we had, they made sure we had it and fast. Poor Giulia even came out to look for us one day at a little bit more distant beach because of a misunderstanding, and she thought we had no bus home and I hadnt recieved her message, so she got worried I never typed back! She had been out checking every bus stop to find us and help us home. Now who does that? She is an absolute angel! The boys loved her too. We stayed in one of the two new rooms, which was spacious and incredibly clean. Air condition worked perfectly, and it was a very quiet place and neighbourhood. Its not a rich neighbourhood and a bit dark, but quiet and safe and very close to everything you need. So dont get stressed if it seems like a forgotten street, because the B&B is amazing! :D The bathroom was really beautiful and practical. Apart that the water sometimes got really hot or suddenly very cold (as I understood the whole area uses the same watersource or something so no wonder :D), just notifying you this is normal so dont worry, everything was great. The breakfast had everything you need. Mostly sweet stuff, which we are not used to for breakfast here in Norway, but also small paninis and ham, or smoked ham, cheese, mozzarella and tomatoes. Lots of fruits like melon and plums. All local. Super! Closest supermarket is 2 minutes by foot if you walk slowly :D There we could easily ask them to make us paninis with cheese and ham (of our own choice) and it was very cheap. The town and port is only 10 minutes by foot, again if you walk slowly. You can also reach the nearest beach within 20 minutes by foot, or one of the many other beaches within walking or bicycling distance. the bus to more far away beaches (yet not too far) was within 10-15 minutes walking distance too. we walked most of the time, but Giulia and Marcelo has some bikes for rent for free, so we used those the last week. We usually stayed in Taboo beach, on the public part, not the private as it was very expensive, and we didnt need to. We always found space for ourselves and even for our small suntent. The water is incredibly clean and the water is shallow so you can easily bring kids. If you walk into the sea for a couple of minutes or so, you can also easily swim and its not too deep. There are beaches from the port and as far north as I could imagine...so something for everyone. we also liked Hookipa beach a little further up because it was more secluded. People there too as everywhere but really nice small beach. We also went near Costa Del Sol beach which was also very clean but too many people... and since Taboo was closer and we all loved it, we stayed there almost every day. If you like empty beaches, wait for a slightly rainy day. We went out after the rain, around 14 and had the beach to ourselves it was amazing! The water was freeeezing that day but oh so lovely :D Thats a good thing about this area because its always windy so it never gets too hot. The water usually had a very warm temperature, although after the rain it was colder but even more crystallic :D Beds were good, one double bed and one double sofabed for us, and as I said it was very clean and nicely decorated. I loved the interior a lot. The "lobby" where we ate breakfast was also a nice area for relaxing with tv or football on tv if needed. There is a tv in the room though. :) We felt really home, and again Giulia did everything to make sure we are always comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone,. I hope to be back some day.

The hosts Giulia and Marcello are a very lovely couple who made us feel at home. From the outside looks just like a normal house, but as we got in we knew it'll be a very pleasant stay. The rooms are really nice, very comforable everything is new rustic and clean. It's very close to the city, reachable in 10 minutes and also near to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be back next year. Thanks for the lovely hospitality! Joy
