A french chef that works there( or might not anymore) needs to watch his manners and attitude! Same I can say about the owner. Poor hotel. Average low quality food. I had a very bad experience with them.

This was a great place and easy to bus to Edinburgh for sightseeing, as it saved trying to find and pay for parking in the city. The room was a lovely old room, very comfortable, with a four poster bed and large bathroom. Very traditional Scottish room. The breakfasts were tops and cooked just how we requested. Very fast service...

We stopped for one night - 23rd April 2016, after coming up to a family party being held in the town. We booked an executive room and on entering this room we was hit with the odour of stale cigar smoke. The room itself was clean (but heavily scuffed walls), the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The bath...

What a really nice meal tonight, chicken breast stuffed with black pudding and my partner had the peppered steak made to her own liking after speaking to the chef. This is our local, we come down at least twice a week to eat, good quality food, warm and friendly welcome, what more do you need?

The Room was neat and clean. The staff were so good and kind. Breakfast was so good. All in all nice budget hotel to for a short stay. Will recommend. The only concern is the bar which is on the way to entrance.

Was a cheap Groupon deal but even then not worth the money. Given room above quite noisy bar with noise of door opening and closing below and smokers from bar outside. Wasn't busy - only three rooms used so why give us that room. Food was ok apart from Craigie Tower starter which wasn't cooked properly. Steak chewy. Chips nice...

Our family have used this hotel over the years for various functions (wedding reception, birthday parties, funeral teas, overnight stays for friends, etc) and we regularly dined here at one time.I had not visited for over a year when I called in with a friend for coffee today. The bar was empty apart from 3 staff. We asked if they...

We arrived late and the staff were happy to make a meal for us even after the restaurant had closed. Same applied in the morning when we were late for breakfast: the chef made us a full Scottish breakfast an hour after the cut-off time. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were very friendly and accommodating. I would...

Had a lovely night and an amazing nights sleep. We were at the hotel for a family party & stayed in the double room above the bar, with a beautiful old bay window, never heard a thing from the bar, the views were amazing, the room really spacious, and the bed really comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully presented and really good value for...

I booked this hotel, and unfortunately the storms arrived, which resulted in closure of the motorway from my region to this area. I phoned before hand and got through to Hotel.com who seem to own this chain and was told as long as the Craigiebeild agreed under the circumstances, i could get my money refunded. As there was 4 empty...
