Unable to find a room available in Galway City, we drove on and came upon this place. Our triple room had 3 large, comfortable beds; en suite facilities and a fabulous sea view. Joan, the hostess, was welcoming and friendly; breakfast was delicious and the village of Barna itself had several lovely restaurants and all the services one could need.... More

We came upon Barna just tooling along and were thrilled to find this wonderful inn. We had our heart set on an intimate B&B and were worried at first but we loved this place. The hostess was fabulous! We felt right at home. Breakfast was great. Wish we could have stayed more nights. Go.

We were coming in late. We called Joan to let her know in advance. When we finally rolled in she was waiting up to greet us. She was warm and welcoming, even at that late hour. The rooms were perfect for our family and we had a great view of the harbor. Breakfast was yummy!

Avoid Galway and stay just out of Galway in Barna. Joan keeps a spotless B&B, and was a very friendly host. She gave us some great suggestions for dinners and we had some wonderful meals in local restaurants.

This was our 3rd place after first Tipperary, then Goleen. Very clean and pleasant to stay at. Joan was friendly and fun to talk to. Recommended shorter, more scenic routes to go to Kylemore Abbey. It was all she said and more. Breakfast was delicious and our view from our room was great. When we left, I told my wife... More

Stayed at this lovely B&B for 3 nights. Our lovely host Joan could not have done enough to help us. Always there when a cuppa tea was needed after our long days of sight seeing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfasts were lovely and kept us full for most of the day!! Will return next year for sure.

We planned an Ireland roadtrip, this B&B was our second stop right after starting in Dublin. We've had a comfy room, looking at the sea. Everything was really clean, bathroom was small but enough, breakfast was really nice. Joan talked with us about our plans and gave us the best tips ever. We've reconsidered our planned trip (wanted to go... More

Charming guesthouse conveniently on the highway. The owner is a friendly, elderly woman and there's a definite feeling of living in her home. We had a large, spotlessly clean room with a picture window overlooking a cow pasture and Galway Bay. Very affordable (we paid €70 for a double without breakfast in May). Barna is a picturesque seaside village.
