This B&B was a delight. We stayed three nights and were extremely comfortable. Bernadette was a lovely hostess and gave us great advice on places to eat, have laundry done, sights to see in the area. We used this as our base of operations to visit Galway and the Aran Islands. Bernadette cooked breakfast to order and her french pressed coffee was excellent. I loved the smoked salmon she offered for breakfast. Donnelly's Pub was a short walk away and dinner was so good we went twice. We were close to a grocery store, Super Value, and a cute cafe, Nourish. We would definitely stay here again.

If you are in the Galway area and want a top B&B, look no further. This place is on par with a 5 star hotel. Our bed was a queen size and extremely comfortable, in a room that is bright and airy and big enough to hold a party. Walk in shower, all marble floors and walls, modern quality furniture. Daily home made scones at breakfast, lovely breakfast as well. Oh, and not forgetting our host, Bernadette, lovely lady to talk with, and she is an artist, her works dotted around the place.

During our trip to Galway we spend the night at Abbeyville b&b. We were welcomed with a smile from a friendly face even though we were slightly early to check in. The rooms were well priced, warm and spacious, with a good ensuite shower room. However it could have done with some toiletries for guests. The owner was lovely and keen to ensure your stay was as best as it could be. She made a good breakfast and catered for our requirements. Overall great stay, great b&b would definitely return.

Sister has house in Barna but this our new 'overflow' place when she can't put everyone up. Barna it has to be said is the perfect place to stay for access to Galway and Connemara and Abbeyville, up a quiet road, is a real home from home...both modern and comfortable with the a true Irish welcome from the owner. The now legendary Bernie can't do enough to make her guests happy and , yes, we confirm the scones (as is the whole breakfast) are great! Prices are very reasonable too. Stay as you are Bernie! We'll be back.

We were really happy with our stay here. Although we were hesitant about being outside of Galway, we figured it out be easier with our rental car. We were pleasantly surprised by Barna, and we ended up actually getting dinner in Barna instead of going back into Galway in the evening. Our host was fantastic, as she was welcoming and flexible. The room was a comfortable size, everything was clean and well kept, and the bed was comfy!
