Bernadette, the fantastic hostess of this beautiful, spacious, modern B&B made out stay so memorable. She accomodated our wine and cheese purchase from the Galway market, without batting an eye. The location was 10 mins from Galway, along the coast with a 2 min walk to an amazing pub with great food! Can't get much better than this!

We planned to explore the Connacht region and Abbeyville was a good location for us. Drove to Cong, Cliften, Connemara, the fjord at Leenaun, and also to the ferry at Doolin to spend a day on the largest of the Aran Islands, Inis Mor. Easy access to Galway... it’s all right there if you are driving... not much of interest to walk to. Host is cheerful and accommodating. A good value for travelers with wheels!

From the minute my wife and I arrived at Abbeyville and met with the owner Bernadette and showed to our room we knew that we had hit the jackpot. Certainly over the next seven days we were not disappointed, cleanliness was one hundred per cent, bed can be described home from home. We looked forward to the Breakfast each morning, first class Irish fry with all the trimmings, and the fresh home made scones each morning were to good to resist. Nothing and I mean nothing was to much trouble for Bernadette, friendly family loving woman who showed the same to her guests. The only down point to our stay, was having to leave for home. This lady made our holiday in Galway one of the best we ever had, and alough we traveled well around Galway, Connemara and parts of Mayo we will be back.

My husband and I stayed here after spending the day in Galway (It's a 15 minute drive from the city centre). So, this is a good location if you want to be near Galway, but stay in a quieter area. It is walking distance to a pier and two restaurants. We ate at O'Grady's which was very good. Bernadette was a wonderful hostess, incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. It was a pleasure staying here!

A short drive or bus ride to go away, Abbeville is like going to an Old friends house. My son actually asked me how Bernadette and I do each other! Bernadette was ready with a home-cooked breakfast, warm scones, a map and ideas on excursions of Connemara. The B & B is a half a block walk to A couple of restaurants and the 12 hotel. Lovely home and hostess.
