My husband and I stayed at Abbeyville for 2 nights during our recent holiday in Ireland. Abbeyville is everything a B&B should be and more! It is ideally positioned down a quiet lane so is very tranquil, the garden and surrounding town of Barna are so pretty and it is a short, easy drive to Galway City. Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped; the amazing hostess Bernadette provided so many small touches that make all the difference, like a helpful visitors book and tissues in our room. Bernadette herself is an absolute gem - she is warm, professional and an accomplished hostess. Not to mention an excellent cook and talented artist! The breakfast deserves special mention - there was an excellent choice of food and the full Irish breakfast was the best we had all holiday. Bernadette's freshly-baked scones are irresistible! Bernadette also provided a number of helpful tips on where to find a good laundry service and good places to eat. This stay was a definite highlight of our holiday - thank you Bernadette xx.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights this week and we were mightily impressed with the high quality of the accommodation. Our room was clean, recently decorated and spacious. There was plenty of choice for breakfast which was prepared and cooked to perfection. The location, in central Barna, is handy for a good choice of restaurants for dinner. The owner, Bernadette, is warm and accommodating. In short, I can highly recommend this B&B.

Great room very clean and a very comfortable bed. Nice walk to the pier and a few local eateries very close as well as a supermarket that is open until 10.00pm. Bernadette is just gorgeous, very warm and friendly and makes a generous full Irish breakfast. Also has a good range of yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit and homemade scones (yum). Only sorry we weren’t staying another night.

Great location, just off the main street so it's very quiet. Bernadette is friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome in her home. The bed was very comfortable and we had a really nice breakfast with lots of choices. Bearna is small but nice to stroll around with a few shops and cafes. Very near Silver Strand beach which is lovely for a walk/swim.

I can’t recommend it highly enough, lovely lady who runs it (Bernadette), great rooms, clean and well appointed and a terrific breakfast. Just brilliant and a good location. Really really worth a stay as Galway is a funky, vibrant town to visit and this is the best base to do it from.
