We enjoyed our meals. There was a warm welcome and a roaring log fire. Not many in on a wet Thursday evening and we were served quickly by the lady behind the bar. A real plus is that dogs are allowed in the public bar so we could take him in while we ate. There is a posher dog free...

My wife and I determined that we would eat in this hotel because we had heard good reviews. It seems the chef likes to come and take the orders however, after about 20 minutes the barmaid came over our order because chef was busy! Not the most cheery barmaid but our order was taken. All we ordered was 2 steak...

Tomas, the chef and owner of this small hotel in the main square of Newcastleton, was incredibly helpful and willing to make adjustments to the menu to accommodate our low-fat / high fibre diet. His home made soups are really delicious and sustaining. As a fitness outdoor type himself he was very accommodating to our health needs as well as...

We've just come back from the Kielder 101 and stayed for the third time at this hotel. We arrive late as we advised we would and just missed the main menu being available, but Tomas the manager suggested something they could rustle up fairly quickly out of hours. We had chicken and pasta in a beautiful sauce. The hotel staff...
