A proper pub. Dogs welcome. Service excellent. Run by a really friendly family who were very welcoming to all of us , whilst we were on holiday in the village. Food good. Would recommend the lamb or the sausage and black pudding. The best black pudding I have ever had!

This is one of two main places to eat in Newcastleton and the other one is next door. We couldn't chose which one but the kids decided upon the Grapes. Good choice. Food was great and a nice atmosphere plus the Tennants was good.

We go to the restaurant every time we're in Newcastleton & the food is superb. Fantastic gluten free options too! I would recommend it to anyone. The staff can't do enough to help & make the children feel very welcome

I've stayed on two separate occasions, with my mum and two dogs. The accommodation and food have been exception on both occasion. Staff are friendly and approachable, and the walks along the river are great for my dogs. Thank you and we will see all soon x
