We loved our winter stopover at Chateau D’Apigné. The building is spectacular, the rooms are huge. The bathrooms are up to date. The service was great and the food delicious. We would go again if in the region. It is a short drive to downtown Rennes, which has a lot to offer, and yet you sleep in a Chateau in the countryside. The rooms were dead quiet. This would be a great base for exploring the area. We happened to be there on a Saturday and were able to go to Rennes famous Marche Des Lice, Frances second largest open air food market, which is not to be believed. Go and buy a picnic and then find a place to eat.

I had a lovely stay in this chateau. The site is amazingly beautiful. In a bright day, it is even more beautiful than in the pictures in their web. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our room (Henri room) was big and charming. Some small details could be fixed but nothing that affected the experience. The garden was taken care of and the produce in the breakfast was really good. Crepes were to die for. With some sort of floral fragrance that just got me. I would strongly recommend anyone to stay here. If I have to say some not-so-good thing, I would say that in a quiet night you can hear some distant noise from a road, almost unnoticeable.

Stunning building in lovely grounds, very large bedrooms and the ensuites in the towers are very contemporary and modern though not really in keeping with the building, breakfast was ok but nothing special. Main downside was that we left a new shirt in the wardrobe in the bedroom and when we called up only 1/2 hour after checking out they said it wasn't there which was very disappointing !

Beautiful chateau in lovely grounds but you can quite clearly hear the main road from the rooms and garden. Excellent dinner in the garden with very attentive service. I stayed in the Elisabeth pavilion which internally rather lacks character. Breakfast was very basic.

Dear guests. We thank you for your feedback. Even located in the countryside, we can actually have some noise coming from the highway. The Pavillon Elisabeth is on a more rural charater, while our rooms located in the Chateau are in a romantic way. We try to improve our Buffet breakast by offering more type of cheese/hams/local yoghurts... However, we hope welcoming you again, best regards - Honorine - Front desk manager

I cannot say enough great things about our stay at Chateau d'Apigne just outside Rennes. Being in a historical chateau that has been renovated into a luxury hotel, we truly got the 5 star hotel treatment. The grounds on which the chateau sits are beautiful, and to my knowledge they are currently building a third dwelling on the property so that more people can benefit by staying here (especially during their well-known wedding parties!). Rooms were clean and opulent with luxury amenities/toiletries. Service was fantastic - Honorine, the Front Office Manager, took care of everything we needed - including some last minute room service one night. The restaurant was phenomenal but do make sure you make reservations. Being a bit outside the city, I felt like it was a truly relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still only a 10 minute drive into the center of Rennes. Free parking. Elevator. Great buffet breakfast.
