The rooms are simply furnished in a slightly rustic style. This is not luxury accommodation. But it is clean and comfortable and more than adequately furnished. This is an auberge to come to, eat, sleep and move on. The hotel has no real indoor facilities apart from the bar/restaurant on the other side of the very quiet road. The restaurant... More

A lovely hotel in a beautiful French village. Used it for a stopover on our way south from Caen. Friendly welcome despite minimal English . The rooms had everything you could need including good wifi. Good dinner and breakfast.

We stayed for one night on our way to the south France. The room although small was comfortable and very clean. But the dinner was wonderful, not what you would expect in a small village. It was excellent..

This is a delightful auberge located in a small village. We had a very pleasant room & dinner & breakfast both superb. The chef is very talented & makes the most of local products. We would highly recommend & hope to be back.

we tried to stay here in April but the restaurant and hotel are different businesses and there was no food available the night we visited so we moved on. The room had everything one expects these days in a rural hotel and the food was delightful, typically French, tasty.Breakfast was substantial too. Good value for money

We stayed one night here to break our journey home from South West France. It is conveniently located from the Autoroute yet still in a very quiet and picturesque village. The facilities were excellent. The welcome from the owners and staff was sincere and charming. The food in the restaurant was excellent too! Thoroughly recommended!

Having endured more grim French hotels than I care to remember, with their ghastly wallpaper, dubious pluming and hideous plastic flower arrangements, the Cheval Blanc proves that it can be done well. This establishment is a delight, it is well run by the attentive owners, and it is clear care has been taken to get the details right. The restaurant... More

We have been coming to this hotel for a number of years now, and everything about is just right. The room although not huge, is big enough. The weather has always been warm, so we have been able to use the pool to cool off, and at the end of the day we have been looking forward to the meal... More

First of all this is a good place for a stopover. We were able to eat outside and the meal was good. Breakfast was also good. Service for dinner was a little slow, but they apologised. The room and beds were comfortable, the pool looked as if it would be good, but we had no time. It is up quite... More

Found Cheval Blanc after looking for stop over on way South, as we wanted a place where we could also have an evening meal. This place ticked all the boxes and was about 10 minutes off the A28. It was easy to find and the GPS took us right there. When we arrived in this sleepy village all was shut... More
