Reception opens even after midnight to hand you the keys to your room. Forgot your towel? They provide them. Forgot your shampoo? They provide them. Forgot drinking water? They provide some. Dropped your ring down the shower drain and cry in front of the reception? PRICELESS... I mean, they will be able to help you as well! We encountered the...

The hotel is clean with attentive staff. The fixtures are well used; some could use an update. Rooms are typical small size for Tokyo. Convenient to Meguro train station and numerous convenience and grocery stores nearby.

I stayed here during my 6 days trip to Tokyo. It's in quite neighbourhood and close to meguro station. There's a nice mini market and restaurant that open till late located nearby. Room is abit dated but very clean. Overall it's a satisfying stay and would definitely return in my next visit.

Just stayed here with my little family, hubby and 2 young boys. This hotel has many English speaking staff which makes a huge difference! We were able to get extra towels and pillows (no charge) in 10mins rather than an hour when you have to translate and can't seem to understand one another 😁. It's dated, but clean and nice....

This would be quite a modern hotel - old but well maintained. Although it was spring, we had to ask them to open a window (needed a key) because the air-conditioner only provided heat! Otherwise a very good location from Meguro station (5 minute walk with luggage) and accessible to other parts of the city. As in most hotels, good...

Great location, 4 mins walk to the train station, have super market and restaurants along the area. For the price that we paid, I think it's great value. Reasonably sized room compared to other places in Japan, fully equipped and very clean. Hotel it is a bit old though.

The size is a lot more than our other Tokyo hotel (a shoebox). Yes the comments are right it is a bit old but some of the older quirks are nice like the outdoor seating and the classical music which help it reach more a European oasis feel from the heat than it may be without. Nearly a four but...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
