We stayed here for five nights in April 2017. The hotel is very conveniently located, two minutes walk from the subway station and with lots of restaurants in the area. Breakfast was really bad, never refilled and just cold, old and sad. We ended up having breakfast out after the first two nights. Room was ok sized but an unnecessary...

This hotel is good for what it's designed for, a short stopping place where you return to sleep and well, that's all it needs to be. Location wise, this hotel is fantastic. A two minute walk to the Meguro station which is on the Yamanote circle line that covers most of inner Tokyo. A short walk to Ebisu and a...

I stayed here off and on for 3 weeks while in Tokyo on the top floor. The location relative to JR lines and the metro is excellent and the room was large by Japanese standards, bed comfortable, WIFI reliable (except one day when a router failed) and the room well cleaned and quiet. Echoing the comments of others the staff...

My first time in Japan, I stayed at this off grid hotel and I really loved it. we were given a room in a very high floor so we got the view of the city and it was amazing. The amenities were great. As early as 5:00 am, there are travelers in the lobby making tea and it smelled so...

Okay, the entrance of the building is not the best in my life. Okay, the metal door looks strange. But comparing with the price is an appropriate staying. Good position with the Meguro station just 50 Mts away. The staff is young but really helpful!

This time thank you for using Hotel Abest Meguro. Our hotel from the Meguro Station west exit called a 1-minute walk is granted a favorable reception with many visitors after being situated in a good location because the access to the downtown area is good. When I come to next time Meguro, I appreciate it if you can use our...

I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in my most recent trip to Tokyo for business and I must say that my stay was overall good. It was not that hard to find if you know the right exit of the metro rail station the hotel is nearest. From the west exit of the Meguro Station, the hotel is...

I stayed here with my wife and 8 month old daughter for one night. The location was very good with the hotel near Meguro station and the double room we stayed in was rather large for a Tokyo hotel. Even though there were no explicit non-smoking rooms available when booking online I couldn't feel any cigarette smell, but I don't...

I needed a hotel room in Tokyo for New Year's Eve (2013) and this hotel offered reasonable rates even just a few days before NYE. The room size and bed were reasonable considering this is Tokyo. The room was clean, comfortable and heated well. The best feature of this hotel is it's location, which is across the street from the...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
