We are travelling since 11 months and this Hotel has been the worst. They try to be like a 5 star resort but to be honest its run down, old, dirty, smoke everywhere, dirty matrass. The stuff is very unhelpful, rude and dont speak english....More

I was pretty knackered; checked in late and had the Onsen to myself. This hotel is obviously very jaded, quite dirty for Tokyo standards. But, the novelty of my first stay in a capsule hotel really made the experience a lot better! The capsules themselves...More

You get what you pay for. A night here is cheap (relatively- as it is Tokyo!) but it''s obviously nothing fancy. Capsules are clean and neat and perfectly comfortable but there is no plug point to charge phones etc overnight which is annoying. Bathroom, which...More

As a place to sleep for one night if you're exhausted from working or partying and can't afford a long taxi ride home after midnight, this capsule hotel is serviceable. The beds and toilets are fairly clean. Though the capsule space is shared, it's quiet...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping

As I remember, the locker automatically re- charges you after 12 hours so you'd have to pay again before you open it.

No curfew, but they have a very strict time for you to clear out of bed (10am) so that they can clean. The staff is annoyingly inflexible on this rule. If you're planning to party/work late, wouldn't recommend staying... More
