It's small, it tight, room is a walkway and a desk. But boy was it cheap. If you a traveler which can speak mandarin, these guys can communicate with you quite well. Stayed in this hotel for 10 days as we toured around Tokyo. I can honestly say this is one of the most convenient place in Tokyo! It is about 5 minutes walk to both the Tokyo JR and subway station, about 30 minutes walk to Akihabara, 40 minutes to Ryogoku, and 1 hour walk to Ueno. All around the area... More

we booked the Eco save package (room service every three days) through rakuten website. Although the room service is not done everyday, but they did clear the rubbish everyday and we can change clean towel if we wanted. The hotel location is great, it is only few minutes walk to the Asakusabashi subway and JR Asakusa. However it is quite... More

Stayed here over Easter 2013. Room was quite small, as most hotel rooms are in Tokyo, but extremely clean. Small bed but very comfortable and really nice linen. Lots of shelves and racks to put things way so the room can remain uncluttered. Location is excellent, short walk from Asakusa-bashi station which gives easy central access to most tourist spots.... Just a short walk from the train station. Spent 2 nights there and was surprised to see that they also provided the full set of toileries, including bathrobe and slippers for the price I paid. They even provided us a new set everyday! The bathroom was a very small cubicle - not for a 6 footer. Nonetheless, the water pressure... More

Not more than 10 minutes walk from Asakusabashi station. A bit hard to find, you have to look very well. The room was so small but very clean. I am a small asian girl but I can hardly move inside the room. The bathroom also small, very clean and equiped with all amenities you desired. In fact I can not... More

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
