We absolutely loved this little hotel in a very nice and fun neighborhood of Tokyo. A perfectly clean and functional room and a super friendly and helpful manager. We stayed in more expensive hotels during our Japan trip, but this place was by far the nicest hotel we visited.

I stayed here on my first trip to Japan (in April), because nearly everything was booked out in Tokyo city itself. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood just one stop from Ikebukuro station which makes it easy to get lots of the coolest places in Tokyo. The hotel provides a youtube link to show you how to get...

We chose this ryokan based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Service is good and staff is very helpful. They even had a little gift for us when checking out - something we never experienced even at more expensive places. The room is basic (as you would expect from a Ryokan) and the mattresses (futons) slightly hard,...

I was there with my family and 2 friends. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Though the rooms were small, it was sufficient. We had a great experience there. The staff were so friendly and it's like a home away from home.

This little hotel is a great affordable place to stay in Tokyo. Everything was spotlessly clean, all the staff are very friendly and helpful (and speak English), and the neighbourhood is quiet. The hotel is located in Ikebukuro, which isn't central, but it is only a few minutes walk to either the subway or commuter train systems. There are restaurants,...

Great, friendly service :) The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere really made me feel like I was part of a family. The inn is located in a quiet little neighbourhood, and I enjoyed watching people go about their daily activities. Really loved the 10 minute walk through the town to the station every morning. That said,...

This was the fourth or fifth time I've stayed at the Family Inn. We love the cleanliness, the reasonable price relative to the amount of space, and most of all the lovely staff. We also like staying slightly outside the city centre, but knowing that it's only a five-minute 1000 yen cab ride or a one-station train ride away. On...

We fell in love with this place from the first day. The staff are fantastic - very kind and helpful - they made us feel @ home immediately. The room was spotless and the futons very comfortable. The surrounding neighbourhood has this 'real Tokyo life' vibe about it. One can see how the locals go about their daily lives. It's...

Great cozy inn with all the necessities. Staff is very helpful and offered us local weather Forecasts and umbrellas so we wouldn't get wet. It's a bit of a walk from the local train station (10-12mins) but a very pleasant one with little local shops and inner suburban houses along the way.

We stayed 3 nights there during the golden week period in Japan. It's a small nice and cozy family run hotel with great hospitality especially the host Hiroshima-San. He's really friendly, helpful and service minded. We found in some reviews that the place was a bit far from train/metro station but when we were familiar with the area, we felt...

“They will likely assign the rooms. But this is a good place to stay after trying other Ryokans out. Very clean (like most Ryokans) but the in-room bathroom adds to comfort and convenience. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but is still close to major subway stations and has a lot of delicious food.”
