I was due to stay here in September, however due to coronavirus I had to cancel my travel. However, Yuki was so understanding and gave me a full refund even though my room was non refundable. I had booked this at the start of 2020, and was communicated with well over the months. Yuki answered all my questions in a lot of detail, and I am very sad I was unable to stay here. I hope to rebook next year (if it is safe to do so) and without a doubt I will choose to book here again.
We had a wonderful experience. The staff reserved us a warm welcome, was very helpful and makes you feel at home. The rooms are very nice and clean. Everything is well organised, there is also a small common kitchen and a hot bath.
I spent here 10 days beginning of december and loved the hospitality, the private お風呂 (hot bath tube) and the very downtown area. Lots of things and places around remind of Showa Era, especially around Shiinamachi-Station. It is a bit to walk to the nearby stations or Ikebukuro station, but I totally enjoyed. There is a direct bus going to Nakano (broadway) as well as very authentic public bathhouses in walking distance (perfect for cold december evenings). I will definetely come back! もう一度ありがとうございます。
We had a wonderful time at Family Inn Saiko. I saw all the amazing reviews and was so happy to see that a room was available during our trip to Tokyo. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. On my next trip to Japan, I will choose to stay here again!
My go to Hotel to stay in Tokyo, Rooms are clean, Cozy, best of all Japanese Style :). Its situated in a nice and quite neighborhood, I love the 5 mins short walk to the metro station. The best thing about this Hotel though is the Family that runs it, it feels like they are your family in Tokyo because they genuinely care about their guests and would be happy to assist you in any inquire, bookings, or anything you might need. Thank you so much Yuki-san and Hiroshi-San for making our stay in Tokyo a very pleasant one. Me and wife are really looking forward for our next visit :)
Our stay at Family Inn Saiko was most enjoyable! Although our room was a little cramped for a family of three, our experience was pleasant. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful with any questions. The Inn is located in a quiet street, and is a short taxi ride to the vibrant Ikebukuro station, gateway to where you want to visit in Tokyo! Thank you for a memorable and pleasant stay.
We stayed at Family Inn Saiko for 3 nights in June 2019. The inn is very clean and in a cute neighborhood. There are two neighborhoods within walking distance with restaurants and subway stations. The hospitality was unbeatable. Yuki gave us great suggestions for our limited time in Tokyo, and even offered an oragami class one evening. We loved sleeping on the tatami floors, and enjoyed the complimentary toast and tea in the morning. I would highly recommend this wonderful inn and we'll definitely be back on our next trip to Tokyo!
I spent 3 nights at Family Inn Saiko and was pleased with the overall experience. The inn is situated in a quiet , residential neighborhood so at first you might think it is far but once you are used to the area, you will like that it is peaceful and convenient. I myself traveled to Yokohama during my stay and there is a direct train from the metro station 15 minute walk from the accommodation. The hosts are very nice and caring — helping me with direction to places and giving me a lot of useful recommendations for my Japan trip. The highlight of the trip would of course be the bath. I always loved Japanese bath ofuro and the one provided at Family Inn Saiko would not disappoint you. Tips: the inn has elevator so don’t worry if you have heavy luggage :)
This was an amazing place to stay. Cozy, comfortable, and they really made us feel welcome and part of the family. They have Kimono dressing on certain days and my fiance and I did it. It was really nice to see the lovely art that goes into dressing in kimono. The rooms were nice as well and the futons were comfortable. Thank you so much for the stay! We really enjoyed it there!
We were 2 couples who arrived in Family Inn Saiko which is located in a nice and quiet area. We were thinking that this must be what a regular, normal and unpretentious Japanese neighborhood looks like. The friendly staff do not speak English but the manager does. I am sorry I forgot his name but I remember his graciousness when he biked for 20 minutes to reach us because we forgot to give back the room keys when we checked out. We were so embarrassed and apologetic but he put us at ease by saying," it is ok. No problem. It is good exercise for me"! We definitely recommend Family Inn Saiko for those who want to have a feel and see what must be typical normal Japanese neighborhood after a busy day in the tourist areas of Tokyo. Yes, it's like going home after a hectic day in the city. …
