The hotel is sort of hidden in a street, so really have to look at the signboard on the building then can find the hotel. it's about 8 min walk to the East entrance of Ikebukuro where Seibu and Loft are. Room itself is comfortable. not very big space, but i find it comfortable for one person. 2 people, i find it abit squeezy. it does not have a closet, just hangers. It has a humidifier. Room is of yellow light, no white light. Wi-fi is also available. The only thing i find the room, seems to have dust particles. The first room i checked in was very dusty. The remote control and the tables and shelves were full of dust. After a while my nose got a little sensitive and i requested for a room change which was much better. But i'm not sure because if it's because there's a carpet in there or some allergens, at about 10pm nightly, i started to have allergy reaction (which i prepared medication) so after taken it, and slept with mask on my face, felt better. Amenities - They provide shampoo, conditioner, body gel, toothbrush, comb, body sponge, tub tablet, razor, towels..... Generally is ok. There were alot of people staying at this hotel. but for me, i don't think i will return again, 1) of course there's allergen and not suitable for me. 2) though it's a short distance to East entrance, but i feel that after shopping a day, and carrying all the shopping bags and to walk that distance is a little tiring for me. 3) a couple of times if i want to buy bento from the nearby family mart or 7-11, most of the items are sold out. 2) it's about 10 min walking distance from sunshine prince hotel (with slopes and bumpy road) if you are taking the limousine airport bus.

Stayed 2 times, once in a twin room and the other in a single room. The twin room is slightly more spacious with space for your luggages etc. The single room is of sufficient size, and is very cozy and clean. Extremely comfortable bed for a good night rest. The only downside is lack of natural sunlight due to the small windows. Hotel is a 5min walk away from Ikebukuro station, as well as Sunshine City and the busy areas. It is however, very near to Higashi-Ikebukuro metro station. Staffs were helpful in collecting my parcel as well as recommending airport luggage delivery services. Will stay again if I can get it at a good price.

The room is small but what can you complain? it's in Tokyo, one of the most high cost of living city in the world. The hotel is located at Ikebukuro, about 300M from Ikebukuro East MRT station and about 550M from the JR line of Ikebukuro, all in walking distance; If you came from Heneda Airport via Limousine bus, you can drop at Sunshine City Terminal and walk to the hotel about 15mins, Staffs are courtesy and helpful, excellent service. rooms equipped with all necessities but the standard room does not came with wardrobe, so travel light is advisable. Overall, i am pleased with the stays.

We stayed here during our first trip to Japan for 5 nights. It was small but full of amenities. At the same time, hotel is walking distance to Metro station and a few blocks away from the major train hub - Ikebukuro station. We have no complaints. Room is always clean every day. Amenities replenished. Love how it is surrounded by shops and restaurants.

It's a really highly recommended hotel. Near metro and JR station, 5 minutes to shopping area by walking. I stayed in single, not too big and not too small. And it was not too noisy~ The clean staff is really friendly, if you do not need any room cleaning service, they will put the new towels...all in a bag then leave it. I am planning my next tokyo trip, and also I will chooses this hotel again.

The hotel location is good with just a short walk to the central area of Ikebukuro where you can find plenty restaurants, shops and arcades etc. There is also a convenience store very close to the hotel. What I like the most from this hotel is the selective housekeeping service - you can get a free bottle of water if you do not ask for a full service. Room itself is a bit small and it may not be convenient for leisure guests who shops a lot. Besides, the hotel design (aroma and colour tone etc.) is a bit feminine that would make solo male traveller embarrassed. Overall it is a pleasant stay but I may still go for an alternative hotel next time due to the design.

This chain of hotels are business hotels. They offer a basic room with a comfortable bed, a somewhat small space, and a full bathroom. My wife and I were used to Japanese sized rooms so this wasn't a problem for us. It was clean and well taken care of (the housekeeping staff are outstanding). The bathroom was spotless and the shower was excellent. One of the best parts is that it's right in the heart of Ikebukuro which is one of the big central spots of Tokyo. It's a pretty quick 10min walk from the East exit of the main JR station. The neighborhood that it's in is pretty quiet which is nice because Ikebukuro can get a bit rowdy with all of the bars and restaurants in that area. So you get the best of both worlds: quiet stay with the easy reach of exciting stuff to do. The staff was very helpful also but some of them have very limited English so you may need to work a little harder to communicate. And this is listed as a budget hotel, but that's budget by Tokyo standards. The rooms will still be in the $90-150 range on average per night.

The location was good (800m from Ikebukuro station) and at an affordable rate (USD 80 per night). Staff were professional, and the room was always kept neat and tidy. There was also a mini fridge and a kettle for boiling water. It was raining on some days so I was happy to be able to borrow an umbrella right away! There is a 24hr convenience store nearby so you can always grab something if you're hungry. Sunshine city is about 450m away from the hotel as well. The room is only 14m² so I had to put my luggage on my bed if I wanted to take out / pack stuff. Wifi is not very strong so I would recommend to get a pocket wifi instead if you want to upload pictures on Facebook and Instagram. There was only one news channel to watch on TV and no view from my window. Although the toilet is small, it was kept very clean.

I could hardly read even during daylight. The lights were all too dim and hardly any sunlight from the window. The bench next to the bedding is not practical (difficult to get on and off the bed!). The remote control for the bidet was fitted too far away from the sensor (my 1st ever encounter on bidet in Japan!) and you need to turn on both (hot and cold) taps (very traditional taps which does not fit into such a modern designed Resol). It does not even have a coin laundry.. :( As a Resol member, I was advised that my room was upgraded to the next higher category however I am very doubtful (where are all the rooms facing the main street as per the picture?). Despite all these unbelievable encounters, the room rate is reasonably priced (with a condition to walk approx 600m from Ikebukuro station).

We were in Tokyo for the week to do the marathon and were looking for somewhere to stay that wouldn't break the bank. Ikebukuro is on all the major train lines so it was a great spot for traveling. There is even a local Metro station a hundred metres from the hotel which I think is on the Y line. We got in late so it was a little harder to find, but we got pointed in the right direction and in the daylight the next day we realised it was easy to access. Everything in the room seemed new and clean. The bathroom was super clean and had a tall enough shower, which is a plus for Japan! The shower was over a deep tub and the toiletries came with a bath bomb which was nice for long days of walking. It had reliable free wifi and a TV with free to air and cable channels. A lot of the room stuff was in Japanese so it was a little hard to work out. There was a light switch in Japanese that we still can't work what it did! The bed was comfy and the room was dark when the lights were out. I'm not sure how well I would have gone with an extra person in the room but it was great for a single person. We had some issues with the room layout as there wasn't a cupboard and there was a weird bench next to the bed that took up to much room. It made it a little difficult to use your suitcase. We tried out the Italian Restaurant but didn't really enjoy it. Better off walking into town or going to a convenience store. So the hotel is 30-40 metres from a 7-11 and maybe 80 metres from a Family Mart which means you are set for any snacks, drinks or anything you might need. There's also a few chain cafes within 100m too.It was 5 minutes walk to the main part of Ikebukuro and the train station and about the same to Sunshine City. For the price and quality, I thought that it was good for Tokyo and would probably stay there again.
