Conveniently located just in front of Otsuka station (which is 2 stations away from Ikebukuro), this hotel offers basic rest at an affordable price. Rooms are small, so I would not choose this hotel for a prolonged stay, but if you are in Tokyo for one night, I strongly recommend it. It is clean, with a decent breakfast, inexpensive and...

I always like to give the best and great reviews, but sometimes that's just not possible. 1- too automatic to be called a hotel, seriously nearly of not human contact at all. Yes, you do have a few attendance on the front saying automatically what is in the manual, and that's it. 2- the air conditioning filter was coated with...

Otsuka Station is located just in front of this hotel. You can find some noise from train station in the morning a bit annoying. But i am ok with that. My single room is VERY small but clean. Free breakfast consists of 4-5 variety of bread, juice, coffee, boiled-egg and instant soup. (I like their chocolate bread & boiled-egg.) Friendly...

    Staying in Ikebukuro

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
