I'll start by mentioning the bright spot. The staff are wonderful. Very eager to assist. Although this is quite consistent throughout Japan. However, for the price paid, the hotel itself leaves a bit to be desired. It does not feel like a luxury hotel. I paid less for my stay at the Andaz and that was a much more pleasant...

Hotel is impeccable, staff is great! Room is a bit small compared with Asian standard although by Tokyo standard it is ok size. Downside of this hotel is a good 15 minutes walk to the Shinjuku Station - while there is a bus shuttle service, it doesn't start until 9am too late in the morning, and last ride from the...

Iconic hotel in Tokyo. Service is 5 star and the famous bar on the 54th floor has jaw dropping views of Tokyo. Rooms are beautifully appointed and the hotel has a serene quality. Staff are very professional and dedicated to you enjoying your stay.

We booked 4 nights at this hotel using Hyatt points. The experience had its pros and cons: PROS: The service here is impeccable. The bathtub and the views from the room were divine. Free, fast Wi-Fi. CONS: 1) It is far from Shinjuku Station, and the shuttle is annoying and hard to find. We had never been to Tokyo before...

It really doesn't get much better than this, understated elegance and charm. A choice of multiple restaurants and bars wonderful spa, gym and swimming pool. Located in the high rise prefecture of Shinjuku close to the metro. There are gardens two minutes walk or a forrest garden with shrine about 10 minutes walk. There is endless shopping within 10 minutes...

Room is very spacious and very elegant. One of the best view in Tokyo to see the sunset. All the staff are very polite and caring. They are willing to help and go the extra mile. Please try their New-York grill restaurant. Hokkaido Akaushi Sirloin was cooked to perfection. It was one of the most tastiest and juiciest steak I...

We booked a room for three nights, using Hyatt points. We arrived on the airport bus at about 1pm and were taken up to the 41st floor where a receptionist was waiting, who took us straight to our room, where she checked us in. It was a smallish room, with quite a big bathroom. The decor was a bit dated...

it is quite far from the heart of Shinjuku. Good thing is they have shuttle bus service every 20 mins from 9-9. This is my 2nd visit, I may not come back again because of the "room deposit" I stays 4 nights/2rooms deposit is 150,000¥! I put deposit on credit card. They would take up to 2 weeks for return...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
