Stayed here 2 nights, and loved every second of it. The location is a bit obscure amongst the other generic office buildings, and not a short walk from Shinjuku station (spring for a cab), but the facilities are fantastic. Our king room, though not large had spectacular views, only topped by the gorgeous huge bathroom. Public spaces are spare &...

My wife and I stayed in this lovely property in Feb 2017 for 4 days in a split business and personal trip. The location, service, and features are all very good and whenever I told someone locally where I was staying they were all generally impressed and remarked about the Park Hyatt being the nicest hotel in Tokyo. We had...

Our friend brought us here for the amazing views and brunch time special at 50€ pp - as this is a place is apparently very good value for money. On arrival we were warmly greeted by very professional staff, but our friend noticed that the menu had climbed to 70€ pp plus a 35€ service charge within a two week...

I was hesitant to stay at the Park Hyatt since I am not a huge fan of the Hyatt brand. My boyfriend insisted that we should stay here, so I agreed and I am so happy that I did. From the minute our cab pulled up to the minute we left the hotel, the service was impeccable. The check-in process...

I know much hyped has been made about this hotel being featured in the Hollywood movie 'Lost in translation'. After staying in this establishment on a few occasions I must say the wonderful Japanese staff and their astounding service plus the lovely design of this hotel ought to be credited for what it is.... a truly outstanding place to stay...

A great luxury hotel, centrally located with excellent food and service. All aspects of our stay, from check-in to dining, including breakfast and room service, were excellent. Highly recommend this property.

The Park Hyatt is an outstanding hotel in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. You know you are about to have a special experience from the moment you arrive and are escorted from the ground floor to reception on the 41st floor. The views of Tokyo are stunning and from the room in which we stayed Mount Fuji was visible (on...

My husband and I spent the first night of our honeymoon staying at the park Hyatt Tokyo. A hotel we've always wanted to see since it featured in 'Lost in translation'. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. I was handed a bouquet of flowers when we checked in because it was our honeymoon, they gave us...

I wouldn't say this property is a must-try. More like a nice-to-visit. The rooms are incredibly tiny and the hotel--while large--isn't particularly comfortable or well-designed. The bar at the top is amazing though, especially when they've got a live band.

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
