The rooms here are quite small, though we were expecting this. There is a little bit of space around the bed and a small couch that I put my suitcase on. There wasn't really room for a 2nd suitcase to be opened up though. The room was nice and the bathroom bigger than we expected with a bath included. You...

Thank you for taking your time to review us. Hotel Mystays Nishishinjuku is built close to Shinjuku station while still being quiet enough to offer our guests a good night sleep. And as you mentioned, our guestrooms could be a little bit small for those travelling with big suitcases and backpacks. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. However bathroom is...

We booked this hotel in advance thinking that the room will be roomy, also according to reviews its near to the JR Shinjuku station. Upon arrival at the Shinjuku station, we are already overwhelmed by the busy people walking and which exit we need to go to find our Hotel. That time we are handling 2 1/2 luggages, double stroller...

As you mentioned, Shinjuku is one of the biggest cities in Tokyo therefore for the guests who come to this area for the first time it is a little bit hard to find our...

Only a few minutes walk away from the JR Shinjuku station, a little closer to Nishi-Shinjuku station. Quite quiet around the hotel and a few restaurants nearby but only a 1-2 minute walk from the Main Street, where bars, restaurants and shopping are aplenty. Room was clean, maybe a little compact but in keeping with tokyo in general, so that was...

Good value hotel, less than 10 minutes walk from Shunjuku train station. Room was small but adequate, by Japanese budget room standards. Very clean. Bathroom looked quite old but the shower was excellent with powerful water pressure and the shower head was not too low, which I sometimes find.

Usually the west side of Shinjuku is not my fav area to stay in but decided to stay at this hotel due to the affordability. It is approx. 10 minutes walk from the West exit of the vast and maze-like Shinjuku JR station. Hotel itself is not very easy to find but once I found it, it was straightforward from...

Walking distance to subway, liveliness of Shinjuku.Staffs are friendly but limited English. Bed & room is comfortable enough. Not much choice for Breakfast. It's freaky to walk & stay beside cemetery at night for the weak hearts.

Great, very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room had a microwave, fridge, and washing machine/dryer making our stay very convenient. My friend and I enjoyed the 10-15minute walk to shinjuku station though there are subways right next to hotel. There is even a hidden shrine in the park across the road. The breakfast was great -...

I really liked this hotel but it is too small for the price, the staff are really friendly but needs to improve the English. This hotel is basically close to everything, a minutes walk from the main Shinjuku station and you can take the narita express from there.

At night, after a long flight, in the drizzle we found it initially difficult to find. However, it's only a 7 mins walk to Shinjuku station which was excellent and not much further to the Tokyo Government Building. Once you've found it once there's no problem finding it again. The corner ramen noddle cafes and local convenience stores made for...

This hotel was selected because the group we were traveling with stayed here; it made transfers to the cruise terminal easier for the group. However, we found very comfortable beds, clean rooms, and a very helpful and friendly staff. The location; a very easy walk to the Shinjuku train station/shopping/food was a major bonus. The myriad of eating choices (mostly...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
