definitely recommend this hotel. great value for the price. very convenient location. it is located 15 mins away by walk from harajuku and omamote sando; then 6 min by walk from the subway station (ginza line). there is a lot of convenient stores around the hotel and restaurents as well. the room was small, as anywhere in japan and especially in tokyo, but functionnal and nicely decorated . loved the bathroom and the toto japanese toilet . room and the hotel itself were recently furbished. i loved the aesthetic of the lobby and the room decoration as well. air con and humidifier worked very well. bed was small but comfy. there is a free onsen at the 10th floor. great option to unwind . after a day of walking around tokyo.
This is a relatively new hotel, close to a subway stop and near the newly built Olympic stadium as well as baseball and rugby stadiums (I could watch a baseball game from my room). Check-in is on the 9th floor, which is where the restaurant is, and the rooms are on the floors above. There is a bit of a utilitarian feel to the lobby floor and restaurant, but the rooms, although small (to be expected for Tokyo) are well appointed and organized, if simple, and very clean (to be expected for Tokyo as well). I had a room with a separate room for the toilet, whose lid rose as I approached it, and another room for the sink and bathtub/shower. The lighting in the room was easily adjustable, and the room could be made quite bright. The Wifi worked great. There is also a Japanese-style communal bath, as well as laundry machines, which were quite useful. The staff was generally competent and efficient (again, to be expected of Japan). Because of the aforementioned sports facilities, there isn't a particularly commerical feel to the neighborhood in which the hotel is located, but there are more restaurants/shops closer to the subway station, and other areas of Tokyo are easily accesible via public transport. I would definitely stay here again. …
After a twelve hrs flight, we finally made it to Japan, landing at Haneda airport now the tricky part of our journey to our hotel begins, there is 3 option you have, a train, buses or taxis I have to admit selecting any one of these options and not knowing the language would be daunting but we were prepared for anything, and beside it wasn't fair on my wife dragging our luggage around so we opted for a taxi. I must admit what I saw of Tokyo I was impressed wide and smooth road, a metro rail flying above us, and oh yeah, they have no litter bins, the pavement or sidewalk are so clean, how do they do it, put London to shame, anyway we arrived at the NIPPON SEINENKAN HOTEL TOKYO, we were impressed by the layout, on the ground floor they have an American themed cafe, the food was good, the hotel rooms are small which I hear Japanese hotel are like this, the hotel restaurant was reasonable and the price was affordable, the Japanese love their gadget, like self demisting bathroom mirrors and a toilet seat that open when they sense you, made me laugh, there is a train station 5 min walk called Gaiman, you will be impressed by this area, they have 3 stadium on that stretch of that road, and then you hit min metropolis amazing PLACE TO GO, Metropolitan govt building is free, and you can see japan from the 47th floors, spectacular view, sky tree is another attraction tall building but is not free, brilliant view, the subway is just easy to navigate and clean and the star attraction is the Shibuya crossing or the scramble crossing as we call it, japan is a fascinating country don't be put off by the language barrier, Japanese are happy to practice their English on you if the occasion arises. We will be going there again most definitely…
Since this was a budget hotel, I was expecting bare accomodation. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was better than I expected. It was very clean, classy, and the famous Japanese toilet was awesome! The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Location was great, as it was just around the corner of the new Tokyo 2020 stadium. It was a bit pricey to be a budget hotel, but considering that this was Tokyo, the price was reasonable enough.
We had a nice stay at the Nihon Seinenkan Hotel. The hotel staff were very welcoming, and the hotel itself is beautiful- the lobby on the 9th floor overlooks one of the baseball stadiums, and it's a very bright, light-filled space. Our room was comfortable, although as a superior double it felt very small with our two suitcases (there were no good places to store them). The bed was not very comfortable, especially the pillows. However, the location was better than expected- it's about 10 minutes from Gaiemmae station, and it was a 25-minute walk to Shibuya and a 15-minute walk to Harajuku. We enjoyed our stay and would consider the hotel again the next time we visit Tokyo.
