Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

this is in a fab location, right next to Shibuya station so perfect for travelling and also walking up to Shibuya crossing (5-10 min walk), but not at all noisy. Rooms were functional and clean. It was great value and I would definitely recommend it and stay again. Sachets of toiletries etc available at reception alongside tea/coffee.

I picked those hotel because it's at Shibuya station, nice and central with access to many train lines. The hotel is at one end of the station though, and it can take 15 mins to walk from one end to the other. Not to mention the station is confusing, you will get lost. The room itself was nice, comfy bed, little outside noise, decent bathroom and enough space to leave my suitcase out open. Overall it was a good stay, but staying in Tokyo again I would stay at a hotel close to a train station one or two stops from Shibuya.

Currently waiting in concierge for a room change, because we requested a non-smoking room, but our room smells like an ashtray They went on to explain to us that there is 130 rooms that are non-smoking and 30 rooms that are smoking, but we have been given a smoking room. I’m one week out of hospital from a Septoplasty operation so my nose is highly sensitive The receptionist informed us that, just because we request a non-smoking room doesn’t mean that our request will be granted . They are offering to deodorise our room for two hours while we wait in the lobby , but I highly doubt with the stench that is coming out of that room it will be fixed. In fact, the whole level must be a smoking level because the hallway stinks. It’s hard to believe that in the year 2023 that the staff can be that ignorant of a request that in my view is the number one faux pas in hospitality. We are now being urged to chase up a refund with Agoda, I have been down this route with Agoda before when it comes to refunds, and sometimes the case is not solved for months. The reception is very rude, and even the interpreter they offered on the iPad, was shaking his head at their ignorance. Let’s see how this pans out ……..

Hotel is right above the train. You can’t hear the train from the room though. It’s actually pretty quiet. The location is perfect. You can get to the center of all the Shibuya action within minutes. The room was small and the price was quite high but it’s Tokyo. I think that’s expected. House keeping was good. Glad to have the coffee machine in the lobby. Also the free samplers of skin products in the lobby is a nice touch.

Clean, helpful staff, complete amenities, great breakfast and stand-out location. Went straight from the airport, took the Narita Express, followed the signs in the station that actually named the hotel and rolled our luggage into the hotel. Made for a very convenient and comfortable stay. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Room is on the compact size but I think that's the standard in Japan. It is highly recommended for the price.

A great location. A short walk to Shibuya crossing. You are by the railway, but it's relatively quiet compared to most rails and doesn't interrupt sleep. Clean rooms. Western bathrooms with shower curtains.

The concierge service is terrible here. They know how to speak English but they were bad at giving directions. We ended up asking directions at the train station. We also asked for assistance in making a restaurant reservation but they were not willing to help us.

This hotel had a great location to hop on the JR East trains. We took the Narita Express train on our last day and it was a short walk from the hotel. The room on the 11th floor was quiet, and the hotel is friendly to international traveller's. Check-in is located on the third floor with remote hotel staff at counters.

If you are taking NEX and staying in Shibuya, this hotel would be a very good option for you. Once off the train at Shibuya station, look for the sign “New South Gate” and follow its direction and you will arrive at the entrance of the hotel. Same when you are leaving for Narita airport by NEX, you can head to the NEX platform very conveniently from the “New South Gate”. Room size is average as other hotel in Tokyo. It’s clean and neat. The only issue will be the wifi connection. When I lived on 9/F, the wifi connection will be occasionally interrupted. When I lived on 14/F in my next stay, only one wifi connection will be allowed, no other devices can connect to it which is not ideal. The hotel is closed to nearby new attractions, e.g. Shibuya Stream and Shibuya Scramble Square. You can reach the busiest area of Shibuya within 10 minutes walking distance. My experience is still positive apart from the wifi connection issue, I would recommend this hotel with its location and price.

I experienced a minor trouble but the front clerk responded with good courtesy in such a loyal attitude that helped me feel safe and comfortable for the rest of the stay. The room was much better than other Japanese business hotel. My bed was supposed to be "a large twin bed" (by the way, of Simmons), but it was as big as a queen size bed; 140cm/55inch wise. The interior had a nice integration of wood and leafy color, which felt to me like the modern mild Japanese theme. It is a stone throw away from the JR Shin-Minami (New South) exit, and there was a supermarket on Meiji street, at around 5min walk toward Daikanyama. So many eatery places especially because they had completed the multilevel-connected "Shibuya Chaos" building complexes - Fukurasu, Stream, Hikarie and Scrumble Square. Basement of these department stores were the food sections where you can buy and eat food from the unlimitedly abundant food choices. It is not noisy at night despite the close distance from the railroads. At the first night, I thought it was the joyful chanting voices of some kind of shrine festivals. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It is owned and managed by one of the most iconic train company, JR-East. Much more trustworthy than the other hotels in the same price-range.
