I experienced a minor trouble but the front clerk responded with good courtesy in such a loyal attitude that helped me feel safe and comfortable for the rest of the stay. The room was much better than other Japanese business hotel. My bed was supposed to be "a large twin bed" (by the way, of Simmons), but it was as big as a queen size bed; 140cm/55inch wise. The interior had a nice integration of wood and leafy color, which felt to me like the modern mild Japanese theme. It is a stone throw away from the JR Shin-Minami (New South) exit, and there was a supermarket on Meiji street, at around 5min walk toward Daikanyama. So many eatery places especially because they had completed the multilevel-connected "Shibuya Chaos" building complexes - Fukurasu, Stream, Hikarie and Scrumble Square. Basement of these department stores were the food sections where you can buy and eat food from the unlimitedly abundant food choices. It is not noisy at night despite the close distance from the railroads. At the first night, I thought it was the joyful chanting voices of some kind of shrine festivals. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. It is owned and managed by one of the most iconic train company, JR-East. Much more trustworthy than the other hotels in the same price-range.

The hotel is in a great location, it is connected to a subway station! You can take the JR rail from there, making it very easy to get around. There are convenience stores just right outside for water and snacks! The hotel is very clean and the staff are welcoming. The rooms are decent sized and the bathroom is good. The water pressure in the shower is great. Would recommend for anyone travelling alone, couples or families.

Me and my boyfriend shared a superior single room at this hotel in June 2019, it was small (as you would expect from a Japanese hotel room) but with 2 big cases I was actually really pleasantly surprised with the space, neither of us felt suffocated. We were there during all the crazy construction, and we barely found it to be an issue at all. No noise, and little inconvenience. The hotel is surprisingly easy to find, and im terrible with instructions! The location is 100% the best part of this hotel. It was a piece of cake getting around Tokyo, easy access to Shinjuku/harajuku/akihabara, (odaiba is a little out the way, but not too difficult!). Lawson across the street, lots of restaurants, really close walking distance to Shibuya crossing and all its shops. Prior to arrival, I had my cases shipped from Tokyo disney resort to this hotel, and one of them was missing. The service regarding this was great, the check in desk rang up the delivery service for me (Yamato?) and figured out the situation. Within a an hour or two, I got a call to my room and they informed me that the luggage had been sent to the wrong area, but they were now delivering it to mets. What a relief! Do not worry about any language barriers, the staff are great. Another great thing about this hotel is the free smartphone they allow you to take out around the city with you! Having this was incredibly helpful for google maps etc. Cannot fault our stay at all, and I would stay again during my next trip.

The location is great since it is right of the Narita Express train. However, it is quite a bit of walk when you transfer from a different JR/subway line. Even on New Years Day, we were able to find some restaurants open for dinner 2-5 minutes walk from the hotel. The space is small which I guess is standard for Tokyo downtown hotels. However, it feels small since we stayed at Kyoto/Osaka onsen and nice Tokyo Westin right before. Since the space is small, I would be researching additionally on space trade-off vs location next time I book.

This was a great hotel for our first couple nights in Japan. Steps from Narita Airport train into Shibuya Station. There are signs on the train platform with instructions on how to get to the hotel, as the hotel is essentially built above the Shibuya train station. Great for weary travellers. Lovely front desk staff. A full display of toiletries including creams, bathing salts, etc. Rooms are small but efficient, fine for our two day stay. Very quick walk to Shibuya scramble.

Awesome location if you are travelling by train, as the hotel is located right beside the new south exit. You literally do not have to get wet travelling from Shibuya station to other stations. Many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, with Lawsons, Family Mart and Mcdonalds literally just outside. If you're walking to the Shibuya main area, its about a 7-10 mins walk, which is near enough but keeps you away from the hustle and bustle. A new mall, Shibuya Stream, is very nearby though. Rooms were not huge (as you'd expect for Tokyo hotels), but of a decent size for you to put your luggage and still have some space to walk around. Simply furnished rooms, but you get everything you need. Loved the amenities station and free coffee/tea at the lobby, which were very thoughtful small gestures. The lobby was small but cozy, and we spent some time just lazing around enjoying our coffee. Breakfast was also very reasonable, with 1000 yen getting you a pretty good spread of western and Japanese food, definitely enough to fuel you up for the morning. The staff did not speak very good English though, so foreign guests may find it quite hard to communicate with them. Definitely very helpful nonetheless.

After arriving in Japan from the UK this hotel was soooo easy to get to. Narita Express straight from Narita (easy to book on arrival) and then the hotel is in Shibuya station. We were so relieved at how easy it was after everything we’d read. Interesting breakfast served in the pub/bar below with a mixture or Japanese and western food (fruit, spaghetti, vegetables!) - glad we included breakfast. The hotel provide a phone with wifi in every room that you can take out and use google maps on etc. It was fantastic. Really a great hotel, the best we stayed in on our whistle-stop tour of Japan.

This hotel has an awesome location if you plan on using the JR trains, but also an underground route to the Tokyo Metro subway lines in Shibuya (Super helpful when it's raining in Tokyo). Great location with respect to Shibuya and other landmarks restaurants. The room is smaller than double rooms in the US, but we expected that from others' experiences and reviews. Amenities were on point - they even have an amenity station where you can pick up all the things you may not have brought with you (toothbrush, toothpaste, Q-tips, green tea...) All in all, great place to stay and we'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for the first time and quickly realised how amazing this hotel is. The hotel is located above the Shibuya Station New South Exit and you can easily access the JR Lines and Narita Express. The hotel is about a 5-7 minute walk from Hachiko Square. The staff were friendly and professional. I stayed in the premium single room which offered decent space (for a Japanese style hotel room) and good value. Wifi connection was good and the hotel offers a smartphone should you need it. Overall, I enjoyed my time at JR Mets Shibuya. Location was fantastic, and I would highly recommend staying here. I would definitely stay here again!
