Staying in Kamata area has much more options for restaurants and shops than staying in Hanada Airport or Otorii area hotels.
Hotel also offers Free Wifi in guest rooms and Free laundry washing machine for the guests. There is fee for laundry detergent and cloths dryer. The hotels cloths dryer is commercial standard dryer and drys cloths very fast compering to cloths dryers in many other hotels.
- Free shuttle in the morning to Haneda
- Rooms are spotlessly clean
- The area is quiet so you can sleep.
- Kamata is interesting without being too touristy or seedy, so its nice to get out for a walk
- The front desk was very helpful.
- Toiletries are available downstairs if required.
We travelled to Tokyo on 23/11/16 and reached Haneda airport after 11pm. In view of wrong address given by the tourist centre we unable to find our home stay after 2hours in the area.
Luckily, we dropped by your hotel and your staff is very helpful and show us the correct direction to our home stay. Finally, we had a good sleep after a long journey & walk!
Thank you
Josephine Wong
Drawback: The van (free transport to Haneda Airport) is quite small.
================================================
Room stayed: Single non smoking room.
The hotel is considered very near to the JR Kamata station. Convenience shop and few eateries are within walking distance. Feel that the area is quite happening because lot of shops still open after 10pm (not very sure if they are pubs or restaurants).
One of the front desk staffs speaks very good english. They are friendly.
Toiletries (toothbrush, razor, comb, etc) are not prepared in the room. You may just collect what you need at the front desk after check in. They are free.
Room is clean. It is not big, but still enough to put a big luggage in front of the bed. Only hangers are available, no wardrobe is in the room.
One complimentary mineral water provided. Air freshener and disposable slippers are prepared.
The hotel provides free shuttle service to Haneda Airport in early morning. You may reserve seat by email. They response very fast (in English). Tell them your flight time and they will arrange for you. You may also request to take the earlier transportation if needed.
As summary, this hotel is quite a good choice if you need to take early flight at Haneda Airport the next day. I remember this is one of the hotels that provide earliest transportation to Haneda Airport with lower room rate.
The only drawback is that the free transport is quite small, hence limited seat available for each schedule to the airport.
Right from when you enter the doors until you leave, on your final stay, the level of service is top notch.
I can't say enough about their service. Friendly, very accommodating, helpful, & their level understanding English language was pretty good.
The room is small but I found the layout better, then in previous hotels with the same room size.
Japan is my vacation, not the hotel room.
The room has every amenity you need for your stay.
Pretty much every toiletry. Even Q-tips.
The rooms are spotless & that goes for the bathroom as well.
The bed's maybe a little firm for some but they were perfect for me. (personal preference)
The pillow I had was interesting but it worked well for me. (if you want a softer pillow, they might be able to accommodate)
You'll have to insert the key in the key holder of your room, to get the electricity to come on & a big FYI, when you leave your room, treat it as if you were leaving the house. Turn the key to lock the door. Don't go on the assumption it'll lock as soon as the door closes behind you. It doesn't.
Not a bad thing but just a word of warning, because most people are use to their hotel room doors to do that.
You will have to hand them your room key upon leaving the hotel. Just so you don't lose it on your travels. And will give you your key upon arriving back. (no biggy)
The staff is more than helpful with directions & even a map to show where some things are. Even telling you of the weather forecast for that day.
They were nice enough to hold on to my bags for me after I was checking out. (had to run a couple of errands)
I had to get them some treats for such outstanding service. They deserved it.
Upon leaving they wish me a happy travel back home & were more than thankful for me staying there.
I cannot say enough about the experience but I was truly impressed & will be staying there again, for when the next time I'm there.
Front desk personnel were extraordinarily professional, especially for a budget hotel--stiff enough that it made me a little uncomfortable as I was very rumpled and sick at the end. But they seem to take things seriously, which I admire. All staff we interacted with spoke some English.
As for the room, it was a good, standard small hotel room that became cluttered quickly--Keep this in mind if you have a lot of belongings! Everything was quite clean, interior apparently updated relatively recently and it felt fresh! The bathroom's placement of appliances an amenities was quite awkward at times, but could be dealt with. Amenities seem standard for the Japanese, but extraordinary for an American like me. I'll know to pack less next time.
The major downside to the room was the air conditioning. It had an unusually complex wall unit. I have a limited understanding of kanji and looked online for help but could not get the room decently cool, no matter what I tried. I almost asked for advice downstairs, but felt foolish. We suffered a little. Try it right when you get in and ask for help if you have trouble.
Location was fairly near Kamata station (good bagels there!) and shopping. The neighborhood felt just a little seedy on our arrival night as we passed massage parlors, cosplay bars and glaring foreigners and in contrast, a few elderly walking their pups. We had no problems, though.
We meant to choose the Keikyu Kamata Ekimae. Make sure you pay attention when you make your reservation if you want to be even closer to the Haneda airport.
