The hotel is pretty close to JR Kamata Station. It took me less than 5 minutes to reach it on foot. The map provided by the hotel is so good that it was so easy to locate it. But please be advised that it is one west side of the station, meaning that it is not that close to Keikyu Kamata Station. The room is not so small compared with those of the hotels in Tokyo. Amenities such as tooth brushes are in the room but placed near the elevator in the lobby: you pick the ones you need. In the lobby beverages are also available for you disposal for around the clock: coffee, tea and water. The room has an empty fridge, which is convenient. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. My room charge was a discounted one. A book in the room states that the standard charge is 7950 JPY and above without breakfast. I am not sure if I wish to stay there again by paying that much, though the stay this time was satisfactory.

The hotel was very close to Kamata station, though it would probably be very hard to find without a map, so be sure to have one with you if you are arriving by bus or train. It was close to Haneda Airport - maybe a 15 minute bus ride. The hotel was very clean and large by Japanese standards. Our room had a fridge, large bed, air con, heater, tea kettle, hot water bath/shower and a fun massage chair. Bed was comfortable with big fluffy pillows, as well as memory foam pillows. The location was great with lots of stores near by and a quick JR ride into the major areas of the city. No wifi in the hotel, but it is fairly easy to find in the city. Staff at the reception area also held our bags for us for the day while we explored the city before our flight the last day. A very nice hotel that we will be back to next time we visit Tokyo!

We went to Tokyo knowing we wanted to spend as little as possible on our hotel so we could have more money for other things. But, we also wanted to avoid hostels. So we picked this hotel and it was a good choice. It's near the JR Kamata station which was actually a very nice station with food and everything. It's also a good train line in general. There are shopping streets nearby and plenty of restaurants (including a denny's!). The bathroom is seriously super small, but it's Japan, so I guess it comes with the territory. Staff was friendly, but I didn't see very much of them. There are beer vending machines in the lobby. The bed was comfy and the ac worked well (but it's right behind your head!). We had a /lovely/ view of an alley.

Kamata was great. We stayed 7 nights and had no problems whatsoever. Really friendly staff, spotless rooms, great location. About a 15min rail ride from the middle of town. this was never a problem. Probably a good thing to get right out of the city. The area has lots of restaurants/eateries/shopping arcades where you can get everything you need. Will return when back in Tokyo
