Nice hotel in very good location. The rooms are a good size, the bed very comfortable and the view fantastic. Staff are very helpful and breakfast buffet was good. A bonus is the shuttle bus to Shinagawa station.

This hotel is a great place to work while in Tokyo. A close walk to the train station you can get to it by express train from the airport. We were able to catch the train or cars to our meetings without problems. The rooms are spacious for the area and everything, food, service, was excellent.

Stayed at this hotel during a business trip. A note when booking said the rooms were newly renovated and that made me choose this hotel. For the renovation, sure enough the room was nicely decorated, you could tell the carpet an furniture was new and that was very pleasant. The renovation however did not extend to the bathroom which lowered...

The rooms are large, by local standards and for the price. The bedding is wonderful, and the amenities entirely adequate (including a kettle that doubles as a thermos dispenser). The room - and the hotel overall - were quiet, and staff unobtrusive. There's pleasing greenery around the hotel, though far less than there once was, and a pond with monstrously...

We 38 persons are residing in this hotel since 22nd March 2017. As we reached after a journey of more than 36 hours we found our room keys ready . Room was very well made. I had once previously visited Japan. Am very impressed by the people of Japan . Staff very cooperative and mannered.

The staff here is friendly and wonderfully helpful. Our room was quite large by Japanese standards. The bed was big and comfortable, with all non-feather pillows. Each nightstand had a power outlet--perfect for charging phones and devices at bedside! The room had a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle, iron, ironing board, and hair dryer. The two free bottles of spring...

Stayed in deluxe king room for business trip. Room is spacious with amenities provided. Nice ambience with a pond and park around the hotel. Going to train station requires a walk down the slope. Will consider staying again

Nice business hotel with a very pretty Japanese garden enclosed by this and the other local hotels. The room I had was a good sized western style room that had been fairly recently updated. Very comfortable bed and very clean.

Having been newly renovated, the Grand Prince Takanawa does show a new and shining face. The lobby is cozy and has a calm ambience, like most Japanese style of low-profile beauty. Location: Located about 10 minutes walk from JR Shinagawa Station, the hotel is not extremely convenient especially when you are taking kids and holding luggage. However, it's embarrassing to...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
