The New Sanno is located near the Hiro train station in Tokyo. The hotel caters to military, retired military, and government workers & families. Prices are very reasonable and far below what a Japanese hotel would ask. There are several restaurants in the hotel serving western food, there is an exchange, a bar, a swimming pool, and a Japanese souvenir store. The...

Expect to have your Military ID checked every single time you enter the building. Very inexpensive food and nice accommodations. Great location. Easy access to public transportation. I'd come back. Loved it.

This U.S. military hotel, the New Sanno Hotel, Yokosuka, Kanagawa (Tokyo) is one of the best military hotels comparable to the high rating hotels in Tokyo area. Reserve Early: I reserved this place a year ago and has all the convenience for Rest and Relaxation for military personnel, their families and guests in one of the busiest cities in the...

I have stayed at the New Sanno probably five times over the last 20 years and it just keeps getting better. USD75 (retiree rate, I think) for a single room. In Tokyo. In a great neighborhood. Ten minutes from subway. Ultra secure. Think very nice American-style Marriott and that's the New Sanno. Yes, it's America in Tokyo. But after being...

This is the finest hotel in the DoD/MWR stable I have ever stayed at. The New Sanno is comparable with some of the finest Hilton's and Marriott's you will ever stay in. Staff is outstanding, speaks good English and are very helpful on directions. Lots of food options at the New Sanno with a mix of Japanese and American options....

Much has been written about the New Sanno Hotel, but there were some points that I haven’t seen listed before, so I’ll try and point them out here. Our family had the pleasure of staying at the New Sanno for five days in June 2015 and were absolutely thrilled at the quality of the hotel and friendly service we received....

I stayed here with family during our Japan Trip last week of March 2015 courtesy of a qualifying relative. Passes are needed in order to enter the hotel. Breakfast is more than average and all areas are clean and maintained well.

The New Sanno hotel is conveniently located in Tokyo for qualifying personnel. To see if you qualify, visit their website. The hotel is a short walk to the subway, making sightseeing around the area very convenient. The amenities are great for an Armed Forces activity; comfortable rooms, laundry service, a variety of restaurants and a nice lobby lounge. The pool...

Very comfortable, clean and quiet place to stay. Several good places to eat on site or within walking distance. Decent shopping in the hotel. Service is outstanding with a very caring staff. Must be active or retired military to use.
