i visisted Miyako in April this year on a Business trip for my Company to Tokyo. The Hotel is in the vicinity of Metro stations (Meguro) and its an easy starting place to further explore the town (the Hotel also runs a shuttle Service). The rooms are comparably large and the Equipment is modern. Prices were really fair for Tokyo...

This hotel is a great location in Tokyo. The hotel has shuttle buses that run to Shinagawa station in the mornings. The rooms are large, but getting to be a bit dated. There is shopping on the lower level of the hotel. There is a fee to use the pool. There is a good pizza/Italian style restaurant, Salvatore, a few...

Wonderful bar area overlooking a garden that serves good bar food and the usual drinks. There are several other restaurants on site too. As always in Japan, very polite service. The rooms are comfortable. It's in a quieter, greener part of Tokyo which may be a relief for some!

Triple rooms are hard to find in tokyo, but the room at Sheraton was large. The beds were super comfortable. The concierges were knowledgeable and patient, a must when you are just coming in from Narita. The hotel is not the most centrally located, if you wish to be in the action, but in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. However,...

I have been staying many many times at this hotel whenever I travel to Tokyo for business. It is rather old but very charming. The room and facilities are immaculately clean, very high Japanese standard. The location is in a quiet residential area and nice and safe neighbourhood. The service is impeccable. It feels like my own home in Tokyo.

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
