I was there in mid March - overall it was a good stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is quite old - it does show in some of the furniture, some of the carpeting. The hotel has a good, safe location. Quite a few good restaurants nearby. Unfortunately hardly any shops at all - strictly business.Rooms rather big...

Nothing to say about the hotel itself. You got the service for the price you pay. But why a so large hitel is not able to offer a proper breakfast experience. It means without to queue too long and without to believe that you're in a canteen starting the day. Not enough to table. Not enough to room to access...

I just loved everything about this hotel, from the James Bond style reception hall through to the rooms, breakfast, massive and well-equipped gym, wonderful service (typical high Japanese standard), cleanliness, etc. Can't come more highly recommended.

Comfortable room in a nice neighborhood. It's a little further from the station and u would need to go up slope for a bit. But it's worth the walk as the rooms are spacious and soo much bigger than those in downtown. The staffs are very nice and helpful, they lended me charger and cords for my phone and helped...

We stayed here for a week, which at one point had an earthquake. We normally stay at the Conrad which is superb and modern, but stayed here with a group. The hotel is classic decor. It is beautiful and perfectly maintained but everything is "old". The rooms are comfortable, wonderful linens, comfortable bed, etc. But the decor is something out...

I stay here as it is in vicinity to my Tokyo office, rooms are of good size and bathroom is well functioning, I would prefer a shower instead of a bathtub though. The decor is traditional and not modern. The carpet could do with an upgrade. I like the hotel because it is quiet, it's in a very nice and...

This is a historic iconic hotel known for excellent service. I would have given this hotel 5-star rating had it not been an encounter which really test & stretch their service standards. Stayed here for 4 nights. LOCATION -Nearest subway line: Kamiyacho, Hibiya Line (grey line). Exit 4b -A very quiet hotel smacked in the Minato-ku. There is not much...

The outstanding service at this hotel really sets it apart from others we have stayed at in Tokyo. We made a number of requests and all staff we dealt with were warm, friendly and very efficient. It may not be the most modern hotel in Tokyo, but the staff is by far the friendliest. Coming to the Okura is like coming home. I am sure that the young men and. women working here are also picked for their good looks and their charm. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are spotlessly clean. The cafeteria has excellent food...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
