This is a historic iconic hotel known for excellent service. I would have given this hotel 5-star rating had it not been an encounter which really test & stretch their service standards. Stayed here for 4 nights. LOCATION -Nearest subway line: Kamiyacho, Hibiya Line (grey line). Exit 4b -A very quiet hotel smacked in the Minato-ku. There is not much...

The outstanding service at this hotel really sets it apart from others we have stayed at in Tokyo. We made a number of requests and all staff we dealt with were warm, friendly and very efficient. Our room was spacious and tastefully but plainly decorated. The bathroom was small but had everything that we wanted and even though a small...

It may not be the most modern hotel in Tokyo, but the staff is by far the friendliest. Coming to the Okura is like coming home. I am sure that the young men and. women working here are also picked for their good looks and their charm. The rooms, including the bathrooms, are spotlessly clean. The cafeteria has excellent food...

The Hotel Okura Tokyo has a glittering history of being the choice of world leaders dating back to1962 when it first opened its main building, and the south building was opened in 1973. It is located just outside central Roppongi with three underground stations nearby (all within 5-10 minutes' walk) so it is very convenient. Being outside the district centre...

Grand tradition in this hotel, no show off, only class. A lot of Japanese guests, some wearing kimonos and various fine restaurants. Big swimming pool and very decent, though old school, gym. Flower deco is amazing.

Such a great experience to stay in this emblematic hotel. We got an upgrade to a bigger room. Staff is really focused on making you feel welcome. Linens and toiletries were very high quality. Mattress was kind of firm but definitely good quality as well. But the toiletries! Shiseido Phyto and Rose goodies! Nice green tea and well stocked fridge....

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
