The location of the hotel is pretty good and the look is great a well, especially being intertwined with the lovely Japanese garden. Especially the view of the garden from the breakfast gives a very calming feel as you gulp down glasses of juices and smoothies of which there are plenty of options. The breakfast had a live egg counter,...

This is one of my favourite hotels in Tokyo. Room is huge, bed is big and super comfortable. Location is very convenient, next to the JR station. Take an easy walk in the beautiful garden behind the hotel is a good refreshment after a busy day. Staff is very friendly but with only there is room to get their English...

A great launching point for visiting the Shinagawa area in Tokyo. If you are a Platinum member of Marriott the executive lounge has great breakfasts to help you get a quick start on your day. Walk from the train station and avoid waiting for the shuttle.

Located near the busyness of Shinagawa Station this hotel is set in a courtyard that is tranquil and relaxing. When we were there the cherry blossoms were beautiful. The rooms are larger than most in Japan and nicely furnished with plenty of plugs, etc. The staff was friendly. If you have luggage there is a hotel bus from Sinagawa Station...

This is a long over due review from a frequent travel with Platinum membership at Ritz Carlton/Marriott Hotel Chains. I stayed in Sakura Prince Hotel for over 7 months due to my work in Japan in 2015. Since then, I've been back many times both for pleasure and business, including latest trip in April 1-3rd during Cherry Blossom period. Every...

This hotel is now associated with Marriott Hotels as part of its "Autograph Collection". This means that you can earn or redeem Marriott Rewards points here. This is a five-star hotel, with service levels to match. The staff is very friendly and helpful, always smiling and eager to help with any problems. Most speak English well. As you would expect,...

The Hotel was once a great place to stay near Shinagawa Station. But after each stay, I have to say that it is losing its splendor. The staff is getting less helpful and the Management does not respond to complaints at all. The price has by far exceeded the value of the stay by now. I was very disappointed during...

I stayed at this hotel with the kind courtesy of my Japanese boss. Please do not confuse yourself with their another sister hotel which is located beside each other ( Prince Shinagawa Hotel and Grand Prince Shinagawa and the entrance is different for all hotels )Some of my comments about this hotel: 1. Great location - located just across Shinagawa...

Very nice room and hotel overall. Amazing grounds and garden. Had some so so reviews, but other than no executive lounge, which opens 4/11/17, we had a great experience. Breakfast was standard Marriott type buffet, but very good.

We traveled to Tokyo from Atlanta last week for our honeymoon and to enjoy the beautiful Sakura season. We had booked our suite online with points close to a year earlier for a king bed suite. Upon checking in we were told our room would have two twin beds. We asked for a room with a king instead (because we...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
