Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

The hotel really should pay more attention how it treats Royal Ambassador members and not to the absolute minimum required by the program.
The hotel is used by many airline crews and is close to the US Embassy and hence higher security.

Well if you have only 48 hours , then I recommend the ANA intercontinental as it is 5 minutes walk to the underground station ( tameike Sanno ) and you can use the Ginza line to ginza ( 4 stops) which is nice area for shopping , Or to go westbound using same line to go to Shibuya which has the famous crossing with lots of nice restaurants and more Japanese feel to it .also you can go to end of the line to Asakusa where the famous temple is and market are . For night life using the Marunouchi (red) line will take you to shinjuku area from same station too ( Tameike sanno) .
