This is a hotel in search of a sense of purpose. Located on the waterfront at Takeshiba Pier, this hotel is isolated yet doesn’t offer enough amenities to overcome its locational challenges. The room is quite comfortable and the service is good but the dining choices are lacking and despite trying to be a luxury hotel, I was forced to wait for everything. There was a wait to check-in; the club lounge was full at cocktail time and for dinner, the lone restaurant was fully booked for the evening in advance. The bar has a limited food menu but not up to the standards of a luxury hotel and given the lack of choices nearby, this is unacceptable. The gym is still closed so on a rainy day, taking a boat ride or walk in the nearby Hamarikyu Garden were not appealing choices leaving the hotel lacking optionality. Unless you are looking for isolation and bring your own food, this is not a great choice.…
Fantastic view from anywhere in the hotel. Staff members are young and friendly, trying to make you feel comfortable. I personally didn’t love the hotel decor but if you like Roppongi maybe old Roppongi, you’ll love it;) Food is tasty&beautiful, special drinks are unique (some are funny). I just don’t understand why all the fruits even lemon for tea were so dry. Not many customers yet so maybe okay to start preparing after the order is made? Due to COVID-19, fixed menu is served in the chefs restaurant instead of club lounge. All were great but if you’re a vegetarian, ask the details of the menu.
The hotel is located right next to Hamarikyu Garden and Gardenview rooms provides the spectacular view from the veranda. As Bonvoy PT member and my suite upgrade coupon, I was upgraded to Chapter 3 room. This room has two toilets and a very large living area with dining table which can be used for meetings. The bedroom has a big glassed corner to look out into the garden and the whole city including Tokyo Tower and Skytree. Quality of furniture and furnishings are very good with Imari Towels. The only drawback may be the iPad type of controls for the room which may take some learning. From Club Lounge, you can see Tokyo Tower and Skytree and enjoyed the high quality food they provide during Happy Hours We had Japanese beef with balsamic sauce! This is the best food I ever had in a Bonvoy Club Lounge. I highly recommend this hotel if you like a relaxed environment with good food. I had a Staycation here and had a very memorable experience. The staffs are relatively young, but they go out of their way to provide the service and made us very comfortable. GW週に旅行にいくかわりにこのホテルでステイケーシオンしました。 落ち着いた内装の部屋にベランダから浜離宮や夜景がたのしめます。(Gardenview Room). Club Lounge にもベランダがあって Happy Hourには カクテルや美味しい料理がいただけました。いろいろなホテルのClub Loungeの食べ物のなかでは 最高の味です。 …
