I stayed here for a few days. Much roomier than similarly priced hotels in the area, and in a great location. The affiliated breakfast restaurant was OK. My room had an outdoor veranda large enough to entertain a few people on. Recommended.

Virgin trip to Tokyo and we really were clueless about where to go, by chance we found this hotel smacked in between the JR Yamanote line and we decided to take it at 507USD for 5 nights with breakfast included. We arrived at 630am that day and were lost walking around looking for it only to eventually realise we were...

This hotel is just a few minutes' walk away from Tamachi Station on the JR Yamanote line, which connects with many of the city's popular districts. The Tamachi area itself is a fairly bland commercial district, but there are various restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies within a stone's throw of the hotel - as well as a supermarket just across...

There is nothing much within the vicinity of the hotel. There is a supermarket and some restaurants across the road. Other than that, there is no bar/restaurant within the hotel. The lobby turns into a temporary restaurant with makeshift tables during breakfast. Staff are super helpful and nice. The room is clean but small. It has a bath tub though.

So we book Villa Fontain Tamachi for 2 rooms and 5 nights, based on trip advisor recommendation. hotels lobby is at ground floor and the hotel rooms are at 14 to 16 floor. so the...

This hotel was recommended by a Japanese friend who is living now in Switzerland. Location is good enough to reach Tamachi station which around 5 minutes walk. Fast and easy connection to Shibuya, Shinjyuku and anywhere. Hotel room is big compared to standard Tokyo hotel. Hot water , bathtub, clean room and free coffee and tea . It was a...

Stayed here when visiting an exhibition at the big sight.. this accomodation isnt really a 'hotel' as such as the rooms sit above an office block. So rooms are from floor 13/14 upwards.. there is no bar, restaurant etc, it is purely a room with a breakfast served in the lobby of a morning. Pleasant enough and the rooms were...

Check-in was fast and friendly. The room was clean, modern and well lit. Quite spacious, by Japanese standards. I liked the firm mattress and pillows. They provided good quality sleep. The bathroom is well-equipped with hair dryer, facial foam, and Mikimoto brand shower gel etc. There's also a writing desk, chair, mini fridge etc. While the hotel had lots of...

I was recommended to this hotel by my colleagues in Japan as we are having our kickoff meeting there in February 2016. The weather is so cold and windy and my night stay was awesome. The Hotel is located in a quiet area maybe its located in a business district. Therefore there aren't much activity around this area. There is...

Really good hotel in Tokyo, would stay there again. Location very good, close to Yamanote Line station. Room of a massive proportion in comparison to other hotels we stayed at in Japan and I really cannot say how happy I was when opening the room door for the first time seeing all that space just for the two of us....

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
