I had so much fun at Khaosan Tokyo Ninja. I stayed there for 3 or 4 nights during the cherry blossom season, met some great people who became friends. Great Value for money. Location is not the best but still ok, public transportation still reachable. Staff really friendly.

I spent there over a week in 2010. It is a very nice place, although it is a hostel, but you get something like a capsule - your bed is separated by walls and a sliding door, with a light and shelves inside. I slept there so nicely without realising how much time it was, because it is always dark...

The hostel is situated in Asakusa suburb, close to Tokyo central Station. Cozy hostel with helpful staff and quiet atmosphere. In the area there are many places to visit and restaurants to eat. Good option.

The staffs are helpful, they have maps and tips for sightseeing in Tokyo. Their englsih is also pretty good. Bed is clean. The kitchen is very cozy and complete, I cooked there while staying. There is a Japanese style dining room too (with tatami), so fun! The wifi is also very strong. Its location is a bit hidden but it's...

No doubt Khaosan chain hostel is Indonesian traveler favorite, and I feel the same way. The room clean and neat, comfy bed, clean bathroom and toilet. They also have vending machine in basement which is cool. There are two nearest subway station. One station have less direction, and the other you must walk 10 min to reach. Because it's located...

There was virtually no ventilation and airconditioning in the prisoner-of-war like bunks. While the staff were rather polite, the conditions of the rooms and beds made the stay generally uncomfortable.

This hostel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy to find, and easy access to all places of interest in Tokyo. Perfect place if you want to spend a lot of time in Akihabara as it is just a 15min easy walk away. I highly recommend staying here, or at any other Khaosan hostel.

Boasting just walking distance to both Bakuracho and Asakusabashi station under 1km, Khaosan Tokyo Ninja has a very centralised location for tourists in Tokyo. It s again one train away from the Narita International airport. Although the dormitory and the sleeping facilities are average, there is a reasonably spacious and equipped lobby and a common area with a few computers,...

Easy to acess the train. A bit small room and sometime difficult to open my suitcase. Hostel staffs are friendly and they can suggest about the place near hostel to visit. Clean toilet and shower room. If you find somewhere that convenient and quiet, I recomment here!

To start, I have to say I have been to better hostels for less money, even in Japan during this trip. However in Tokyo it is difficult to find a decent hostel because there are so few. I would suggest airbnb as a viable alternative. The hostel itself is an average hostel experience. Most of the cons could be improved...
