The room was very small we was on the 11 floor and could smell food cooking in our room all night even though the hotel did not have a restraint and the nearest one was in the next street . The breakfast in the morning was very basic and was set up in the reception area and was not big...

First time in Japan and stayed here for 4 nights. Small but adequate room, with nice view of the street. Room was cleaned everyday, toothbrush, comb etc are provided. Breakfast was pretty basic (eggs, some form of meat, bread, coffee, juice), if you need variety there are nearby convenience stores (7-11 and lawson). There's a nearby coffee shop called Kanda...

5 mins from Jimbocho, maybe 20 from Kudanshita, a 7-11 next door, a wondeful coffee shop 2 mins away, a pizzeria 5 mins away.... and some more.. the location is perfect. The room is tiny, but so is the case everywhere else in Tokyo. The room is comfortable though, the bathroom is very well equipped and the view doesnt matter....

Good location since it was near Jimbocho,Kudanshita and Suidobashi stations, and lots of places to eat including a 7-Eleven right across the hotel. Small room with the basic amenities. Everything was clean and didn't have any unpleasant smells. Room was tidied everyday. We were assigned a room on the third floor so there was some noise from emergency vehicles occasionally....

Stayed in may 2014. Bed was a bit hard and pillows like rocks. They changed out the pillows to the best ones they had. Good location close to train and various food. Had a self service laundry which was good. Breakfast was also included.

Great hotel comfortable and cosy room. Great location being close to Jimbocho station with local Dennys and 7/11 across the road. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. Breakfast included is Japanese/Western style Eggs + Salad + Alternating meat between meat balls and sausages. Will stay again next time in Tokyo.

We asked for a silent room and we got it. Bed was comfortable and we had a nice view. Everything seemed to be clean although I found some hair in the bathroom! Breakfast poor. But nice location and I will come back again.

Had a very nice stay with my fiance , accommodated us with anything we needed , comfy beds ,typical space for a Japanese hotel room ,couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was great ,all you needed to start your day. 7/11 was across the street for any midnight cravings you get. Also 2 lawsons were around the block , Dennys is...

Business style hotel in a nondescript area of Tokyo. 16 square meter room, utilitarian. Good wifi. Small fridge, hot water heating pot, small work desk, one chair. no real closet, small luggage rack. Had I been traveling with more than carry one or a small suitcase it would have been pretty tight. But though spartan the room was quite adequate...

For those of you who are sensitive to volatile organic chemicals of furniture, wall paper, carpet sprays... don't stay, I got very sick and started getting asthma attacks which I never had before staying here for just two nights. My mouth was full with canker sores as well which did not exist prior to checking in. Many Japanese hotels are...

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
