Huge hotel complex, be prepared to walk long distances. Well located, close to a metro station. Cool service. Services are very expensive, with average quality and some evident shortcomings: long time to provide in-room service, need to pay for WiFi in room, average very expensive breakfast. Rooms are OK, but the bathrooms are quite elementary.

The Hotel is one of Tokyos traditional Hotels with a high prestige factor. Accordingly you pay more than you get: standard rooms are big and ok, take a room in the Main; restaurants are good but very expensive (Hamburger: 34 Euro); Service was not so convincing: we had forgotten to book an extra bed beforehand and when we checked in...

A very comfortable and very clean, excellent service hotel. Lots of restaurants to choose although most are overpriced. The Japanese garden is unparalleled and is a true beauty. Room is tidy and has reasonable size in Japan. Amenities are more than enough and business centre opens 24 hours. Staff speak good English which is quite out of my expectations. Location-wise...

Good hotel, very confortable rooms (we are in Japan, were rooms are usually tiny), lots of restaurants to choose from and, finally, very high service level. A bit expensive, but once again, it's Tokyo!

The staff were helpful, efficient and, of course, polite. The rooms were quiet, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The included breakfast buffet was generous and delicious. There is shopping and dining within an easy walk and this hotel is well located for access to transportation to and from most of the main attraction areas of Tokyo. After a week stay,...

THe New Otani is on the limo bus airport loop so getting from Narita to the hotel was easy and convenient. The rooms were inviting, clean, non-smoking and comfortable. There were an abundance of shops, restaurants, and even a small grocery store that was open at night. It was close to many transportations and within walking distance to many attractions....

Stayed here several times and always enjoyed it. Service is impeccable - polite and friendly. Given prices in Tokyo, this hotel offers good value for money. Rooms are on the large size for Tokyo/Japan (average for anywhere else), clean, comfortable and functional. The hotel has a huge collection of restaurants with the Sky Buffet an excellent choice for dipping into...

Absolutely enjoyed the place, the central location, the size of the rooms and the magnificent view over Tokyo from my 35th floor room. Staff very friendly, beautiful Japanese Garden with good restaurants. Ok, the carpet would need an update AND there is NO free wifi in the rooms (only in the lobby) but really all the rest made 100 times...

After having stayed three times at the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo, my wife and I believe to have a fairly objective view of the qualities and shortcomings of this place. This report is a summary of our experiences during all three stays. The hotel is located relatively close the Akasake-Mitsuke metro station and hence easily accessible by public transport....
