I visited in January of 2020. A cosy yet modern hotel with combination breakfast options, both Western and Japanese. Friendly staff, small yet cosy room, and very clean, modern bathroom. Central location to the railway, shops, and cafes and restaurants, with a lovely view of the river.
This is a new hotel. All thing is good, such as equipment provided, comfortable room and bed. However, the room is a bit dim. I chose breakfast service, is good and delicious food can be choose. The location is also convenient. Just cross a bridge from Akihabara station.
Pro: Perfect location if you plan to go shopping in Akihabara. Rooms was clean, breakfast was good, staff was helpful. Cons: Even for Tokyo (we had other stays there), the room was a bit small. We could barely open our luggage.
I've stayed at Resol Akihabara for 14 nights and it was great place to live during my Tokyo trip. First of all - excellent location in the middle of everything with great connections in almost every directions 3-5 minutes walk from 3 stations :-). 3 minutes to heart of Akihabara where you find something always during day or night. Despite this with closed window (and great aircon) there was almost absolutely quiet room (from the river side). Hotel is almost brand new. Staff was deligtfull with good english. Room was small (14m2) like all with this class hotel in Japan, but for one person absolutely enough. Bed was comfortable like home - I slept great. There was kettle with two cups to make owan coffe or tea, small but queit and efficien refridgerator, two pair of sleepers, even pajamas. Toiletries were good quality and supplemented as needed. Cleanliness in room and the hotel almost excellent. I spent there magnificent time and could go back again with no hesitation. Keep in mind though that room can be a little bit to small for two persons - not to live maybe (bed was rather big for Japanese standards, but to simply keep your clothes outside suitcases for longer visits…
(Aren't all hotel rooms in Tokyo small?) Good value for a standard room, with a lot of useful and nice touches. Decent size double bed, fridge, aircon, dehumidifier, tb in small but perfectly formed room. Small touches like fresh coffee, a couple of usb points and adapters (iphone, micro usb). Good hair dryer, shower, etc. There was a super typhoon during our stay. We felt safe and secure up on the top floor. A little concerned when there was a small earthquake and building swayed. Assured by the staff that there was no problem as this is a very new construction to latest regulations.
