I recently stayed at the Banners House for 5 weeks as we were working locally and must admit what a find . A big shout out to Amir the owner we had issues regarding Wi-Fi and Television connection but he was more than happy to assist us in every way he possibly could . However the staff are a credit to the hotel they are fantastic . A massive thanks to Cathy , Debs , Jake , Tyler and Danny you guys made the place feel like a home from home a fantastic and warm welcome from our first check in till the day we left , always a cheery smile and nothing was a problem for you guys ( Amir these guys are the heart of your hotel look after them ) plus the waiters and waitresses we met over the 5 weeks your all amazing and made us guys feel at home . The rooms where amazing value for money , clean and spacious and beds were so comfortable it was a god send after a long shift at work . However a massive thanks to Nick (Chef) your food is amazing my friend . If you ever go to the Banners folks please please get the homemade Steak Pie it is mouth watering . I sampled all the menu over the 5 weeks and every single dish was amazing and not a fault found Nick we take our hats of to you mate your an amazing chef and after our hard days work its was a joy to come back to Banners and enjoy your food so we thank you ( Amir give this man a GOLD STAR his cooking skills are AMAZING ). Anyways thanks again all the staff at Banners House i really do hope i see all you guys again ...... in fact i will i am planning on bringing the wife for a weekend stay so see you guys soon :)

Myself and the 4 other people I went with couldn’t complain about the service! The meal was lovely and service was great and fast. It was a downfall that the menu didn’t have a sides section, when I asked about sides I was told they only had chips. chips/onion rings/ garlic bread etc as sides would have made the menu better. The steak pie and pasta were amazing! How ever the burger was clearly home made in the kitchen but it was slightly dry, full of flavour and tasted amazing but it was dry and needed a lot of sauce added too it. The scallops were cooked to perfection too. I would definitely recommend this place and I would return. The young waiter was so helpful and polite.

This hotel has now changed ownership. We thought we would try this out after hearing such good reviews. It was a complete disaster. Firstly the woman behind bar was not friendly and didn’t smile. Not very welcoming. The waitress was lovely and was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our starters arrived 3/44 hour after taking our order.. We had garlic mushrooms on toast. Well to be blunt here the toast was in fact garlic bread with creamy mushrooms. I’ve had so much better. The main course was disgusting, we had fish and lasagne, the lasagne went back as it didn’t taste like lasagne at all. The fish had fat too much batter on it and the chips were very greasy.. Far too much batter on fish. I would not recommend this place to anybody thinking of going.. Think you need to get your act together Banners or you will close very quickly.. Not impressed one bit I’m afraid..

Highly recommend you try Banners, staff were polite and friendly, very attentive and the food was excellent and well presented. Could do with some background music, looking forward to seeing the hotel after its revamped decor is done.
