Detailed Reviews
Happy with our room, bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was really good, the hotel was attentive and helped us with everything we needed. We walked into Sarzana for the evening and it is a beautiful town, relatively unknown, where we had a lovely evening enjoying a great meal and a relatively undiscovered city.

We stayed 3 nts as location is perfect for day trips to Carrara Marble Quarries (a must see), Genoa, Cinque Terre, etc. This place is meticulously clean, inside and out. The pool actually sparkles! The rooms are large as are the bathrooms. The breakfast is outstanding. The onsite restaurant is fabulous and very reasonable. The owners are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We would definitely go back and recommend it highly.

Breakfast from 8 am? People need to be in the office at 8:00…also no one at reception until 7:30 for check out but again we customers have our own schedule. The restaurant is average and the waitress a bit insisting. Receptionist not so friendly..no wonder why this was the only hotel available at this time. You need to improve the quality of the service the venue is ok.

A well kept hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Bed was comfortable, but noisy whenever you moved (small thing). It was very hot in September when we were there, but the A/C worked and there was a very nice pool on the property. When you wake up in the am and go out on the nice veranda, a view of the mountains greets you. Breakfast was really good and the owner, Eric, made us some pancetta and scrambled eggs one morning. Very tasty. We ate dinner at the restaurant one of the two nights we were there. The cook had the night off and Eric made our dinners. Also a very good meal. We had some questions about some menu items and the Eric explained everything for us. When we were heading out to Cinque Terre, he told us of another town we should check out. We did and the mountain drives and scenery were excellent. I think it was Porto Venere. There is parking on site if you have a rental car. The owner was very accommodating and spoke 3 or 4 languages. English, German, Italian and possible French. The hotel was easy to find with our GPS and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If you're in the area and looking for a nice place....this is it. Grazie Eric.

We booked this hotel based on the very good remarks of Italian guests and the large swimming pool for our daughter. It is better than we imagined! Enrico and Mara (the owners) do really everything for making your journey unforgettable, from help carrying your stuff, providing toys for the pool to play with and odd course making delicious coffee! It is at a very convenient location but the very nice restaurant, the rooms which are cleaned perfectly each day (!) and the nice pool do invite to just stay at the location.
Thanks for the great vacation we will be back next year!

This hotel is located in Sarzana and has very good car connection options to visit the surrounding areas - La Spezia & Cinque Terre, Lerici, Portovenere and even Tuscany area. The swimming pool is a big and clean. Excellent and rich breakfast (included) and on-site dinner (option). The stuff is very professional and polite. Every day room cleaning.

This is a wonderful little hotel with six rooms above its downstairs restaurant. The rooms are spotlessly clean, include a mini-fridge and have balconies overlooking the hotel's pool. The balconies have a small table and two chairs and are separated by honeysuckle hedges.
The grounds are beautifully kept with a manicured lawn around the pool and flowers blooming everywhere. There is ample free parking and an elevator to get heavy luggage up to the rooms.
Breakfast is included and the breakfast buffet is well stocked with many more offerings than the croissant and coffee typical of some European hotels. There are varieties of yogourt, breads, sliced ham ad cheese, cakes, cereals and both cut and whole fruit. A great way to start the day!
The owner was incredibly helpful. We arrived having had a flat tire on our rental car. We had changed the tire on the side of the road ourselves and had no success contacting Avis by phone as our Italian was not up to navigating their automated phone messages. The hotel's owner took it upon himself to call Avis on our behalf and determine that the closest rental location had no cars available and that we would have to drive to the Pisa airport to get a new car. He made multiple calls for us and negotiated everything with Avis. Without his gracious help we have been at a loss.
We looked forward to getting back to the hotel each day. It was an oasis of calm during a busy vacation. Our room became a safe haven where we could relax, open the windows and door and gaze out on the patio. What an enjoyable place.
