Impressive / Breathtaking location. Superb surroundings. Too many steps up and down. Very poorly communicated (no phone, no Wi-Fi, no cell). Impossible to access room service when desired. No rooms for just a couple. Smaller- two bedrooms.

My wife Esperanza & I were fortunate to have stayed at Villas Cuetzalan this December 12th-15th. We drove in from Mexico City and arrived on a rainy afternoon shortly before 5:00 PM. From the first moments of our stay until the last, we were treated with kindness & attentiveness by Eduardo, his family and all the employees at V.C. The...

We booked at this hotel based on its #1 rating on Trip Advisor. We were concerned that there had been no new reviews since August 2013, but decided to give it a try. We were looking forward to staying at one of its tranquil villa suites in the hotels's beautiful garden with dense foliage and panoramic views. Unfortunately we were...

We selected this place mostly thanks to the reviews on TripAdvisor. When we got there I asked to look at the rooms and I couldn't believe how beautiful this place was: Flowers, running water, tens and tens of butterflies. The hotel offers a 2 to 3 hours Hike to see waterfalls and forest. The food was really good and the...

Cuetzalán is a beautiful, little town. Gorgeous scenery, great Sunday market, off the gringo trail. Villas was our splurge... a modest one by U.S. standards, but somewhat pricey for Mexican travel. It delivered on what I'd hoped for: a comfortable, wholly private cabin in a gorgeous place. We had a panoramic view, with porches and a fireplace--a great spot for...

Villas are great, good size, good service, good atmosphere. Spend some time in Cuetzalan nice little town. Get ready for climate changes cold at night warm and humid during the day. Fog to the floor and short rains.

Visiting the Puebla state mountain range is magnificent. I had the opportunity to be in this location many years ago and had fond memories. I decided to return on a visit to my birth country with my husband. It was an absolute pleasure. We truly enjoyed the property, only walked to the picturesque magical town once. Out of 13 hectares...

Individual "villas" (small but comfortable casitas) with beautiful view when not fogged in. However, if you're going during the winter, when it's 50 degrees and rainy, be aware that there is no heat in the rooms other than by buildling a fire in the fireplace. So much of the stay was spent trying to get warm. Also, it's a remote...

I was traveling by car to Cuetzalan, in the northern tip of the Mexican state of Puebla, when I saw the hotel along the highway, just five kilometers before Cuetzalan, coming from Puebla City. The owner, Eduardo, instructed one of his employees to show me the place. The hotel has a private parking, pool, a restaurant and seven independent villas,...

“For us the best room is Villa number 1, is more secluded and on the edge of wilderness. However as this being in a hill steps to go to restaurant and is the further from entrance. Villa 2 will be our second choice.”
