Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Room was small and basic. Bathroom was clean but paint was coming off the ceiling. There were tea stains on the walls in the bedroom and some of the surfaces were dusty which meant that they had not been cleaned before we arrived. There were no gloves provided at breakfast and everybody was touching the same jugs for orange juice and milk. The cooked breakfast was nice but little choice on the cold buffet. The staff in the bar were helpful and friendly especially Cliona and Jayden. The food was good in the bar and social distancing was been adhered to. It is well located in the square and is only 5 mins from the harbour.

We had a lovely stay here. Comfortable beds in a spacious room with En-suite.

Covid compliance in the B&B didn’t seem to be very good. Nothing seemed to have been removed from the rooms to minimise touch, and I would wonder if the room had been fully sanitized between stays.

Staff were all fabulous (particularly the young guy in the bar who checked us in-apologies we didn’t catch your name!).

Overall great for what we booked!

Great breakfast.. took some friends that were staying with us for breakfast they were really impressed builder’s breakfast went down a treat with their son. The rest of us ordered the Irish breakfast, eggs bacon pudding tomato sausage freshly cooked. Plenty of tea and toast really busy, but good service, don’t mind waiting a bit for freshly cooked breakfast..

Traditional Irish pub steeped in history. Had a lovely parting lunch with the family in the outdoor part of the pub watching the world go by at the square. Yummy fish and chips and the kids were especially taken with the apple crumble & burgers.

Went to Crotty's for Sunday lunch. I was very surprised to notice that at least 2 staff were not wearing masks. It just felt so wrong and shocked that this is not enforced.
The food could have been better - was good value but was not that nice.
Quite disappointing

Had lunch here recently and the food was very enjoyable. However, we were seated outside in a wooden structure with perspex windows on a very hot day which was very uncomfortable. Food and service was very good and prices were reasonable. This old pub has lots of character and we will revisit.

Dropped into crottys for a few drinks when some friends were visiting, girl behind bar completely ignored us seemed to be too busy on her phone to worry about customers and when she did decide to serve us it was like an inconvenience, no smile, no chat, no thank you. Needless to say we went to another pub up the street for our next drinks and something to eat.

Nice local pub! We visited Ireland for the first time in Kilrush and friends took us there for a pint of Guinness. Live music, good atmosphere, good prices! Very busy on Saturday night. We definitely will return.

Crooty's is a pub with some B and B accommodation on the upper floors. The pub restaurant serves a variety of meals. The establishment was taken over by new management about a year ago or less. The new management are undertaking a certain amount of refurbishments and decoration which seems to be good. There is trad music in the pub on some evenings and more modern groups and performers on other nights. These events are certainly getting the place busier. The clientele is mainly local people and it is a meeting up place for tourists. I have stayed in the B and B previously and had a comfortable night. There are lots of steps up to the B and B accommodation.

Called in midweek for some lunch as I was passing through Kilrush, greeted by very friendly serving staff, service was fast and food was excellent. The new owner Martin came over to enquirer if everything was to my satisfaction, chatted for a while. Was made to feel very welcome.. Will definitely be back
