We booked 7 nights at the Husa Alicante Golf because the Hotel Sidi San Juan closed down earlier this year. We last stayed at the Husa 4-5 years ago when it was 5 star. The biggest difference was that staff have been cut by 75%, which meant that each member of staff was doing the same amount of work previously...

My wife and I stayed for 10 nights for a combined golf and leisure break. We opted for a deluxe room with a huge balcony overlooking the 18th fairway and the swimming pool. The room was excellent and spotlessly clean with a mini bar which we did not use. There was a language barrier with the staff and locals but...

Hi, we have just returned from a five night stay at this hotel and I would just like to warn any Irish or English people to stay away. The hotel is a very spainish hotel for spanish people... we did not feel in any way welcome to be there by the staff or the guests. The staff could bearly understand...

Ask for a room at the back side of the hotel with view on the golf course. If you have a room at the street side it can be very noisy specially during weekends.

Good points....the welcome was excellent, we arrived late and the male receptionist was very friendly and courteous. Our room was good and had a large balcony. Although the peacosk birds were an amazing sight, they were, on occasions very noisy, sometimes, even at night-time. Beds were generally fine. Negatives....that are, as I say, easy to fix...firstly the service in the...

We had a deluxe double room which overlooked the golf course and the sun in the afternoon streamed onto the balcony until sun set. Room spacious as was the balcony. You could have held a party on it! Typical large Spanish Hotel, clean and attentive staff. Lovely pool, quiet as early in the summer season. Restaurant impersonal but what you...

We stayed 2 weeks at the Husa as we have friends who live nearby. We upgraded to one of the corner rooms on the top floor - definitely good in terms of being quiet and having a large balcony with great views. The best about the room was said balcony, a huge very comfy bed and a spacious bath room....

We wanted to stay a couple of days in Playa de San Juan to enjoy its stunning beach. We were nicely surprised by the Hesperia (?) Alicante hotel, about 10min stroll from the beach, nice and clean, comfortable rooms, and excellent rates for peak season August. Would definitely return if we go back to San Juan!

We have just returned from a 4 night, 4 rounds of golf and half board holiday. The set up was great. Walk out the bedroom with the golf clubs etc, press 0 in the adjacent lift and then step into the golf buggy and drive out of the basement parking , and you are at the golf course. We thoroughly...
